Jim McElwain to replace Dan Enos spot?

According to Brandon Justice, Jim McElwain was on Michigan’s campus today for a job interview. Most likely an assistant. Via Twitter.

Pros: His Alabama offenses were 7th, 1st, 4th, and 3rd in S&P and won 2 National Championships, and he improved Colorado State's offenses from 114th to 65th to 33rd in S&P in each year.

 

Cons: Had all the talent in the world at Bama and was a total, complete, utter, hilarious disaster at Florida (with no sense of humor and potentially questionable morals/transparency).

 

I think the man knows something about offense. He was Saban's OC for the beginning of the Alabama Death Star and then he steadily resurrected CSU's offense (with much less talent) from bottom 20 to top 35. What do you say about someone applying for a position coach position that has two really solid things on his resume and then also a giant grease fire?
