I don't think next year looms large. I think that Harbaugh has already elevated Michigan to having a hard floor of an 8-5 record. That is a vast improvement over the 8-10 year period prior to his hire. Fans want to say he is here to only win championships, but that is false. He is here to fix Michigan. Once we are in that place, championships will come, most likely by his hand.

Another 10-3 year with a 2nd/3rd place finish in the division would be far from a failure. It might just be the final brick laid down before we can go onto bigger/better things.

Results on the field matter. Win big games....get big recruits. Lose all your big games ....and, well... Gotta win some of the big ones next season and have a better recruiting class or this ship becomes much harder to right. I have complete faith JH knows what he’s doing. If he can’t fix this, then no one can. With the talent he has brought in the last two recruiting cycles, I believe the tools are there. Players just have to get better and make it happen now.

I'm not giving up yet. He's releasing an announcement video this week and UM still leads in CB picks. Looks like most of the picks have been from OSU guys. Maybe they just like their chances and the guys are putting in their picks before the video is released? If the UM guys all flip their picks to OSU, then I'll give up but until then, I'm still expecting him to announce for the good guys.

I stand corrected. I thought we were at 63% and didn't see Wiltfong's pick. Thanks for the info. Now I can just assume he's gone and if he does pick us then it will be a nice surprise.

Remember when the insiders were "confident" we would land 2/3 of our DT targets.

Whelp.

Bye Friday. Bye Sandidge. Bye M Thompson (even though we stopped recruiting for whatever reason).

There is no excuses for this. OSU's plan C and clearly our Plan A for 2 years, still lose out.

Untill we start winning B1G championships and reaching the playoffs we are going to lose out to the teams that do. The talented kids want to join a team that has a chance to win a NC. They're looking at our program and making a decision that we are not even close. Next season may be a bit better but we'll probably have to wait until 2019, so our 2020 class should be great!

Friday, sure.

But Ricky Sandige to SC is a national title contender (before we lost to them so that has no factor.)

And Mizzou is a national title contender? Just trying to understand your logic. We lose kids to schools that are not title contenders all the time.

He was the guy I wanted most in this class! Looks like OSU missing on some kids last month opened a spot for him. The a 5* DT and 2 4* DT already in this class, that's gross!

Need a little Harbaugh comeback magic here!

And Brandon Brown just had an article yesterday stating Friday is likely to end up at Michigan LOL

"It's LIKELY that Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep four-star strongside defensive end ends up committing to Michigan.

The 6-3, 260-pounder is as quiet as they come but more and more buzz is building around him eventually committing to the Wolverines. As the No. 64 overall player in the country, Friday is extremely talented and with his build, he would compliment defensive linemen Aidan Hutchinson and Julius Welschof well."

Urban Meyer outclassing us in every possible way.  Unless you grow up rooting for UM I can't see why you wouldn't pick Ohio State right now even for an area like Bergen County NJ that usually favors us

Steve Wiltfong put his CB in for Friday to OSU. More than likely he gone. Plan B? Shabazz Dotson, 3 Star from Texas? Anyone have a clue where we would go next? We need DTs in this class.

We still can't get 1-2 5* kids to commit to play on the defensive side of the ball? Just amazing how we keep swinging and missing on these kids all of a sudden.

Even the lower level D1 schools are getting there fair share of 4* kids w the occasional 5* committ.

Mind baffling.....

Can't blame him. Choosing between a title contender and a team that is projected to finish fourth in it's own division next year? Yep, if I'm a recruit with no prior loyalties, I know where I'd rather go.

Michigan is MAYBE the 5th best team in its own conference right now. MSU, PSU, Wisconsin are all better options right now, and OSU has been skating circles around us for years. It's a shame that one bad year has almost undone all the progress Harbaugh made in restoring the program's image, but it is what it is. You're only as good as your last win.

Just the last 10 minutes... They now have a sizable lead in predictions over us (53% - 35%) These guys clearly know something (especially Wiltfong). I had a feelings when OSU missed out on those guys that they would come after Friday hard.
