I saw it. Not impressed. Angry. Thoughts?

Walking to the theater as we speak. Going in with low expectations and hoping to be surprised.

If it ends with one main character losing a hand and another being frozen in carbon, along with a daddy reveal, I’m done with the series. Just hoping for something semi original.

But my 6 year old is obsessed with all things Star Wars. So we're going to see it in 3d (his first 3d movie) on the 23rd. As long as he likes it, I'm good. Oh, and on a side note. I bought him the sweetest BB8 interactive robot for Christmas. $100 off regular price on Amazon. The thing will even follow you around. I'm taking it to work.

For me Star Wars was in a disappointing spiral from Phantom Menace through Force Awakens. Then Rogue One made me feel like I did when I was a kid. Now I'm back to no expectations because this one is the sequel to Awakens.

LOL there is always that guy who says something that is loved by so many that it's not cool. Always. I feel people say that just to get reaction.

Very funny.  Also Lady Bird is a very good date movie. Saorise Ronan is an amazing actress.

Last Jedi was fun but not the first movie I would see this holiday season.

Are you surprised? 4 of the last 5 movies in the franchise were “meh” at best The other was a blatant nostalgia piece

Just finished it, and I don’t know how I feel about it yet. It was entertaining, and had some good moments, but at the same time it was kind of underwhelming. Some of the plot decisions just didn’t seem to make sense.

Having said that, I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and I’ll be there at the first showing in 2 years.

All my life but can’t watch this Disney crap that is loaded with polical undertones and subplots - guns are bad, be nice to animals, and I’m sure the last Jedi will be transgender as well

If your personal politics prevent you from enjoying a Star Wars movie, I don't know what to tell you. Oh wait yes I do. Ted Nugent fucking sucks! Derivative guy, minor talent, not one fifth the scope of Skynard, and not a third as entertaining as those Duck Dysentery motherfuckers

super picky or super sophisticated. I like the transformers films (Flying Robots kicking ass!!! Fun!). I, in general, try to separate a performer from their politics. Everyone gets to have an opinion, even if I think that opinion profoundly stupid.

When I was in HS and college I liked the Nuge. Motor City Madhouse at the Palace was fun. His cover of little red book was fun. Fred Bear, cool. I enjoyed some of his stuff with the Amboy dukes and even Damn Yankees.

But then I started reading about some of his escapades in his youth and some sexual encounters with really young (12 YO I think) girls and it just train wrecked the whole thing for me.

I'm not the guy to say what consenting, informed, intelligent adults  of free will and equal power can or can't do with each other. But wrecking or contribuiting to the ruin of kids.... that puts me over the wall furious.

for adopting kids.  Second, I have no idea how it works.

It was in the late 70's and the girl was 17.  So with her parent's permission, Nuge became her legal guardian.  I'm not sure what state it was in, as the age of consent is 16 in most places (and was lower than that in the 70's).

They split up shortly afterwards.
