4* Muskegon OT Decommits From PSU

Submitted by Mercury Hayes on

Four star offensive tackle Antwan Reed from Muskegon has decommitted from PSU. Reed was offered by UM as well as Georgia, Florida, VT, MSU and some others. He is 6-5, 326 and the 18th ranked offensive tackle; 51st overall player in the state.

I would like all of the tackles, please.

Edit: Appears 24/7 ranking may be in error as one commentor pointed out that he was previously in Florida. If he truly is a four star, he would be a top five or 10 player in the state.

for about three weeks his soph year. Don't know if it was grades - thinking it was - but he was home w/in a month and sat out the fb season. He was one of the higher rated players in the state for his graduation year. Their qb committed to Kiffen and withdrew it when Dantonio offered. He since has offers from IN as well. But back to Reed. I think he is considered no. 2 on their OL but he does not like the books, or rumor has it. He did manage to stay eligible the past two seasons though.

No reason to. I get we need tackles but I don’t think this kid is all that great. Much needs to land our last two on the board and then really turn on the jets for 2019. Too many good prospects in that class to miss on. NEEED to flip Logan brown from Wisconsin. Should honestly be in their top five for priorities.

Off the top of my head there was also Damon Knox, who didn't return this year at MSU. A low 3* DT, RR(!) was interested but didn't offer due to qualifying problems.

Kalil Pimpleton, a tiny 3* WR is a freshman at VT. There must be at least a few more 3*s.

A few PSU fans on Reddit are saying he couldn't qualify academically. I have no idea whether that's true, but if it is, then he almost certainly won't be coming to Michigan.
