I wonder if this back and forth could be related to Newsome's prospects? Hall projects at tackle, correct?
November 29th, 2017 at 11:22 AM ^
No, he's a guard.

I don't think anyone really has any idea what Newsome's prospects are for significant playing time. IIRC, UMBig11 said it's 50-50 whether he ever sees the field again. It's a long way from seeing the field at all to earning starts.

Not sure why people jumped the gun on that one.

People also shit all over him yesterday too. Have fun walking those comments back, y'all.

By people, you mean His Dudeness.

A couple of others questioned it too... but not with the same vigor of His Dudeness LOL

Comments should be banned when it comes to transfers. There's inevitably a bunch of people who know nothing about the circumstance of the transfer and still feel compelled to be shitheads about it.

Ha Sam Webb was wrong!!!!
Shea Patterson to Michigan lives on!

Any mention of Najee possibly committing is worth an upvote from me!

It's gotta be hard to not lose some credibility for him with his coaches and teammates. When you almost leave, you need to recommit 100%. Even the slightest hint of anything less and people will quit on him. I hope for the best.

Before walking back his comments. That turned out ok.

Marcus Ray almost left too. You can probably find some stories if you do some searching.

I don't remember all the details but I seem to recall that AC left the team and actually went back to Florida. Bo personally got him to come back. That one worked out OK as well.

tells me that there may have been a misunderstanding. He's talked with the coaches, has a better understanding of his role, and is comfortable with it.
I think his teammates understand his position. Now, practicing your butt off will show everyone you mean businesses.

Bo intercepted him at the airport and told him to get his ass back to campus lol.

Thinking out loud: He early enrolled. Assuming he took atleast 12 credit hours this summer, he'll be a sophomore academically after this current semester. Do you think he consulted with an academic advisor/Mama Gwen/coach and realized that he's on pace to graduate after the 2019 Season with an additional 2 years to play should he transfer? A Michigan degree is nothing to sneeze at, and he probably still needs to refine his body before he'd be ready to play at any FBS school.

Exactly. Get a degree, get stronger, learn football technique and then if you can't start at Michigan, grad transfer to a school that "guarantees" a starting spot get grad degree and if the NFL doesn't work out, poof free Masters.
