associated with two HC jobs so early in the cycle might suggest that his agent has been pushing him in the market.

This in turn might also suggest that JH and Pep already had a conversation about how happy/not happy JH is with Pep this year.

Widely circulated the JH took more control of the offense mid season.

Just speculation.  But the puzzle pieces fit.

Don't get how I haven't seen Moorhead's name come up yet... PSU fans were starting to want Franklin gone last year and then Moorhead turned that offense into a powerhouse.

Id rather he stayed another year tbh.  I don't like falling into this SEC coaching carousel dance year in and year out.  Pep should stay and learn under Harbaugh's tutelage.

It seems we have too many head coach type personalities on offense. Would be best to have one guy be responsible, younger and more relatable - like a Durkin or Fisch. And I would prefer that Harbaugh take more direct responsibility for the offensive gameplan and spend less time on recruiting or administration. We have the talent pipeline coming along, so now the young players just need to be molded more into Harbaugh's identity to get a B1G title.

The assistant coach turnover is hurting us. This offense needs to establish a general identity and work towards making it maximally efficient. Hard to do that when important pieces of the coaching staff are shuffling in and out every year.

With the early signing period starting this year from December 20-22, I'm wondering how much it will accelerate the coaching search process and eventually affect the CFP or major bowl games? It seems less likely that schools are going to want to wait until after the NY6 bowls and CFP to hire their new HC, when a majority of kids may already be signed.

Would UM have waited for a chance at Harbaugh? We've already seen the effects of waiting that long on that recruiting class. It would've been much worse if Gentry, Perry, Wheatley, and Higdon had already signed elsewhere.

Would Minnesota have waited for Fleck last year? Would they have gone with another HC? Or would Fleck had left WMU to salvage recruiting and not coached in the Cotton Bowl? This seems like a likely scenario every year where the G5 NY6 qualifier will be leaving for a P5 job.

If your an AD and want an offensive coach who's a current OC wouldn't you want Joe Moorehead? If I ran one of Tennessee, Miss. St, ASU call him and get him out of the B1G

decent Power schools rarely hire coordinators.  Moorhead maybe will get interviewed for HC jobs at lesser programs later in the cycle.

Plus, Moorehead is an East Coast guy.  Schools like Miss State need to hire from their region for recruiting ties, etc.

What has Pep Hamilton accomplished at any level of football with any quarterback not named Andrew luck? How many quarterbacks looked udder trash during the 1–15 season with the Cleveland Browns? And for everyone saying that Jedd is no better, let's compare what 2016 Wilton look like compared to 2017 Wilton. Not to mention Jed's system made Chesson and Darboh look like really good receivers. Head and shoulders above what they were in 2015. Then let's take a look at what Jedd did this year at UCLA, albeit with a wonderful quarterback. But I don't see how that's a caveat, since we are slowly loading up with great quarterbacks here at Michigan too.
