OTish and SIAP - Bert going to be jobless
Rumors are the last saving grace for Bret Bielema's job are now gone and they plan to move on from him after this season. Where do you think he lands? Think he could go to Florida? Maybe Tennessee? Lots of options for him. Not sure the SEC is where he should look, but maybe Nebraska will make a move on him.

but I never understood why he left Wisconsin. Seemed like a perfect gig for him.

Crap, I had never heard about that either. Seems it was part of a pattern with that guy. I wonder how many bodies are buried in his back yard these days...

...felt the need to get away from the long shadow that Barry Alvarez casts in Madison to try and prove he could do it on his own. I guess we now know the answer to that question.

Speaking of rehabbing his image, hopefully someone buys him like the Ab Roller for christmas or something since he's going to have a lot of free time on his hands soon.

I see him taking a year off and then going to a high level Group of Five school. Could fit in well at a MAC or MWC school.

Weirdly enough, I actually think he'd be an interesting fit at UCLA. The current roster was already moving towards more of a physical running attack like he was trying to put in place. The guy is a meathead, but he also has a personality and might serve as establishing some sort of identity for UCLA in contrast to USC.
Much as I dislike the guy, I wouldn't hate this hire for UCLA.

Iowa would take him if they could afford to get rid of Ferentz

Is that they're Frost or triple option for next coach. There's a feeling the school has to go back to the Osborne days one way or another. The other issue wit Bielema is that the Riley hire was based on trying to ape Wisconsin, and I think Nebraska's brain trust is not willing to go back down that path again. The success of Wisconsin under two different coaches post Bielema also has taken a lot of shine off him.

Speaking as an Air Force fan.....
What's the Nebraska AD's address so I can sing the praises of Ken Niumatalolo to them?

Ark is a tough spot for SEC because geopgraphy alone says you're not there. NE is a school that would be comfortable in about three to four different geos, imo. Not sure he'll do as well in the same conference any longer with 'Chryst actually making the Badger faithful Bert is gone so recruiting could be a little tough. The one thing we have to remember about all of them, every damn one, including our own BH, once they make that big paycheck it seems like someone will give them a chance for being unsuccessful somewhere else. Sort of like the NFL so they'll all do good in that respect.

Florida players are pretty happy about something all at once a bit ago. Seems like they either got a new coach or a big recruit or something of that nature.

Maybe an Illinois or a Kansas? Otherwise he's definitely heading for an OC gig or maybe a HC gig at a respectable G5 program

A lot of options? Certainly not in the SEC. Getting canned at Arkansas and then taking a better job at UT or Florida? Not happening.
