Chaos in the B1G East

As long as Iowa keeps doing what they're doing and MSU pulls up the big upset, we'll have:

MSU with one loss in the B1G

OSU with one loss in the B1G

PSU with two losses in the B1G

UM with two losses in the B1G

However...

MSU and OSU still have to play each other

UM still has to play OSU

 

Bizarre and unlikely scenario, but what happens in the event of a 4-way tie?

say what you want about this guy. He can be a dick but he's a hell of a coach. He outcoached Harbs this year and now comes off a loss to Northwestern to beat PSU.

Ya going to Northwestern is a lot like going to Kinnick - anything can heppen. Just sayin MSU was ready to come to Ann Arbor and get a win. Then to get his team up after a tough loss and play with - then beat a quality PSU team (that whipped our butts) - he's a damn good coach. I hate him - I hate working with all my Sparty colleagues.

God fuck Penn State. Now it's pretty guaranteed that MSU/OSU will win the division this year. I'm rooting for OSU hard next week.

If we win out, OSU beats MSU and PSU wins out, all 4 of us have two loses. At that point MSU/OSU win the division since they'll be 2-1 against the other 3. Even if one of MSU/PSU has 3 loses so it's a 3 way tie with all teams 1-1 against common opponents, either OSU or MSU wins the division since the next tiebreaker is division recorder and both our loses are in division.

So unless MSU and PSU end up with 3 loses in conference, we can't win the division. That means MSU would need to lose 2 of @OSU, home vs Maryland, @Rutgers. Penn State would need to lose one of vs Rutgers, vs Nebraska or @Maryland. 

MSU losing @ OSU could happen. MSU losing one of the other 2 plus PSU losing another won't. We have 0 shot at the division, and now PSU is the same. So one of OSU or MSU will win it.

Fucking terrible. Us losing to MSU is the reason we have no shot right now. PSU losing to MSU is so fucking typical PSU. They can't do anything right.

We need to win out. Unlikely

Osu needs to beat MSU. Not at all impossible but Dantonio has had Urbans number for a while now.

Penn State needs to lose to rutgers, md, or neb... so so soooo unlikely.

 

It's not impossible, not at all. I just don't see penn state losing.

All Michigan can do is take it one game at a time. Win out and see what happens. It’s highly unlikely we win the division this year but I bet just missing out lights a fire under the team’s butt for next year. Either way Michigan has a chance for some nice wins to close the season. Let’s get it on.

Hell if we just ran the ball every play we would've won, but our coaching staff decided it was a great idea to throw again and again in a monsoon. Dantonio knew if he just ran and didn't turn it over he'd be fine.

Well if UGA and Bama are both undefeated going into the SEC championship game they probably both get in regardless of the outcome as the last two unbeatens. If that happens I don't see a scenario where the 3rd and 4th teams both have two losses. Both teams still have to play Auburn, so TBD. Stakes are always high in November

I have to give it to him! He lost two games with his backup and lots of injuries. He has done one helluva job managing his roster with all the youth on the team! GO BLUE and BEAT MINNESOTA!!!

Urbans offense needs to be updated.  The gig is up in stopping that offense.   Don't be suprised if MSU stops that offense and upsets OSU next week.

I think going to Wisconsin will be a tougher game than OSU in AA.
