I mean, remove the "Harbaugh" name and look at the resume. 1-2 against MSU. 0-2 against OSU. 1-1 in bowl games. Hasn't finished better than 3rd in B1G East. No B1G Championship Game appearances.

Not a steaming pile of shit, but certainly doesn't look like an elite coach.

Meyer won a title in year 2 at Florida and year 3 at OSU. Saban won in year 3 at Alabama.

I'm not saying a national championship is a requirement in year 3, but this team doesn't even look close.

So, for reference, you'd say that the talent Harbaugh inherited from Hoke is greater than or equal to what Tressel left for Urban? Does this suck? Yes. But Harbaugh's linemen aren't going to be able to sign their LOI and then suit up and go. It just doesn't work like that.

Maybe you're an easier grader than me. Hoke left plenty of talent, although most of it on the defensive side of the ball. But again this is year 3. I expect an elite coach to get more out of his guys, regardless of who recruited them.

Listen I'm not calling for Harbaugh's job. I'm just saying I'm starting to recalibrate my expectations for this season and beyond. I realize this was always a "rebuilding year" and 2018 is supposed to the "the year".

Next year the defense will probably be really good/great again. But I can't help but think the offense is going to the a boat anchor yet again.

The o line is regressing in front of our eyes. They are the 5-6 best guys we have, and are in the bottom 10 percent in college football by advanced metrics. No reason to think that next year will be much better. And with a shitty offensive line, it doesn’t really matter who your QB and receivers are. Or Your RBs.

It's not year or year 2, dude. It's his 3rd season as coach. I get what you're saying. I have told others I'm giving Harbaugh 4 years, so for me, next season is the year. He needs to at least win a Big Ten title by next season.

I've said I can't call him overrated until after year 4, but this game broke me. I thought with a young team there might be a stumble or two early in the season. But MSU cannot be one of those stumbles. It's fair to call him overrated.

was the year. Playoff team that gave away Iowa and Ohio games. I'll take 9-4 right now. Given our losses on offense understandable. But just can't lose to Sparty at home. Sparty still sux, we suck worse on offense. Next year, Harbaugh may feel some pressure.

And because there aren't reall better options out there right now. Who do you go get, honestly? The NCAA is owned by Bama. The Big Ten is owned by Meyer/Dantonio/Franklin/Wisconsin. There's honestly nothing better. We just have to wait for those eras to end I guess.

If Michigan has a rebuilding year this year and a young team next year, and doesn't beat Ohio State or ever win the B1G after 4 years, at what point will Harbaugh be on the hotseat.  What will it take for the fans to turn on him?

Many people on this board were outraged.

Nothing was working. Michigan needed to move the ball a LONG ways with the starting field position they were getting. They weren't going to get it just running the ball, when MSU is loading up agains the run. They were forced to pass to some extent.

However, the playcalling left MUCH to be desired. No question.

There is something seriously fucked up with this offense. We have two of everything on the staff, but this offensive line and playcalling is complete horseshit. This one tore it for me.

Two OC-types (Pep and Drevno). Two OL coaches (Frey and Drevno). And Harbaugh with the QB's as well. My thought is that we've got far too many cooks in the kitchen, and we just burnt the whole goddamn meal.

All of a sudden we're looking at 8-4 or 7-5. Even the Maryland game is in play now. I don't have any confidence that we can move the ball against any decent defense.

What a freaking joke! All you suck asses drank the kool-aid! He’s so overated as a head coach! Loosing to Sparty is unacceptable! It’s a disgrace! He let a terrible Sparty team 3-9 last year come in to his own house and win!!!! Fucking sickening! Go to the colts please! Get your weird ass out of AA!!
