Based on a performance in one game?

He's shown he can make passes. Was AAC rookie of the year. Threw for over 3000 yards with 28 tds and 10 interceptions. And Pep's more spread passing offense happens to suit him. He may not start another game here, but don't think the notion is lol-whatever-worthy.

That performance in one game was a pretty good data sample compared to what we have on Peters. O'Korn wasn't just a bit off; he was completely unable to move the team from the pocket. He didn't know where to go with the ball and when he made throws they weren't just slight misses.

Perhaps he has significantly improved in the offseason; we expected that he would have done so a year ago. But if Harbaugh isn't just blowing smoke with Peters a step behind, then Speight's starting role is already chiseled in stone and we'd better hope he doesn't get hurt.

really Rudock's backup in 2015. Since we were expecting it to be Morris, many chose to believe he actually was. Were also sure O'Korn was going to start last season. The Speight talk both years was just some sort of smokescreen, as is the O'Korn talk now.

He's looked good everywhere except for his start against Indiana. Last spring, this spring, garbage time, he's looked great. Whether Indiana was just an anomaly or indication he's only good in low pressure situations is an open question, but it's hilarious how people clamored for him and then immediately wrote him off after one start (Especially since Speight had as bad, if not worse of a game the week prior).

FWIW the BTN crew tweeted earlier Speight was working with the ones today when they were there and they were told O'Korn had his turn with the first team yesterday.

could mean Speight is struggling.

Just does not fit with the way JH phrased it.

He said that Speight and O'Korn had "separated themseleves."

Creating separation does not equal struggling.

JH even used an active tense.  Not a process of Speight and O'Korn as the only 2 left standing.  Instead, Speight and O'Korn did something positive to pull away.

This isn't one car crashing out of the race.  It is two cars pulling away from the third.

Peters is a redshirt freshman.

Tom Brady was a redshirt freshman once, in 1996. His first career pass was an interception in garbage time against UCLA.

Jim Harbaugh was a redshirt freshman once, in 1983. He went 2 for 5 for 26 yards. For the entire season.

A few snippets of obscure practice quotes give us no useful information about his future career whatsoever.

That's what "not concerning in any way" means. I put it there to deflect exactly this type of simplistic strawman. And none of it is obscure. They put two QBs on TV and neither were Peters. He is well behind O'Korn. That is not ideal for him, the #2 job was his for the taking.

I am not religious but I always find these kind of arguments specious. I think it is safe to say that the word "fuck" didn't exist back when the person who wrote the commandments was alive and kicking. There's nothing in the Torah/Bible specifically condeming the viewing of Internet porn or cheating on your federal income taxes either but I think it would be reasonable to infer from the general tenor of those works that such behavior would be frowned upon.

Again, nobody wants to actually hear them, but it is factually incorrect to say that there is nothing in the Bible that applies specifically to porn or to cheating on taxes. There are verses that discuss those behaviors. You may not agree with them (there are Christians that have trouble with both) but they are there.

Harbaugh is asked about Hurst's comments about the O-line being the most improved position group ----> Harbaugh laughs and says "We can't even block Mo Hurst". Question is asked at 4:15
