David Dawson is "no longer with the team" at Iowa State

No details given at this time. I was pulling for him to get some goot PT for them.
That 2013 OL class tho
No, that's terrible coaching.
Luck has nothing to do with anything.
Kugler will need to become an All-American, get picked in the first round, and make a few Pro Bowls to offset all the misery of that class.
Damn. Wish him the best of luck.
Seen an o-line class have nothing but busts in it like the 2013 class.
First team All Big-12 last year. Goddamn you Darrell Funk. Goddamn you to hell.
Note that he left the team after camp and the first game in 2014. The stipulations were surely related to that. It's good to hear he's doing well at WVU.
If you read Bacon's account of a certain OL having serious substance abuse problems and sub in the name Bosch for "that guy," it isn't hard to take an educated guess about the stipulations.
Stop abusing drugs and do your job?
Thanks.
Glad to hear his shit seems to be together.
What happened to LTT? I remember a thread on here about him graduating from Akron and some said there may be a tiny chance he could come back to Michigan, haven't heard what he ended up doing.
Yeah that's not happening. I'm not going to bother listing all the things that would happen before this in the world, but it's extremely long. Whomever said that is mistaken.
I don't remember any predictions it would happen, just speculation about how he could help the team and the difficulties it would present.
Damn, hope its for a non-awful reason and he can move on with his life. Shame it never worked out here, I was rooting for him.
Probably.
That complete wash-out of that 2013 OL class is probably why last year's team was just 'very good' and not national champions. :(
A good OL probably sees us beat Iowa and OSU by double digits. Games against Bama & Clemson would be hard to call, but I see little chance last year's team isn't an undefeated team heading into the CFP if that OL class is even halfway productive
whether we sign a 5* or a 3* running back.
Until holes can be made consistently, it's just doesn't matter.
No details? Seems pretty clear from the article he's simply given up on the idea of playing football again and moving on.
I hope he focused on school a little, because otherwise he'll be up a creek. Dawson's Creek...
In a text to The Register Monday night, Campbell said that Dawson has been "gone a couple weeks to think about (his decision)."
Hopefully, it isn't anything too pressing in his own life - I was hoping to catch an ISU game just to see if he was getting some playing time. It's still a shame it never worked out here at Michigan for him.
Moops
There're two lines of speculation. One is that he got here and the S&C staff broke him almost immediately, which I would guess was precluded by him not being in shape at all when he got here.
The other is a personal issue but I've heard a couple times that there is a personal issue but it's not neccesarily the sole reason he left.
My opinion that it's a combination. He wasn't completely in when he got here and then the training staff pushed him over the edge. He was going to be a depth guy with an outside shot of starting this season.
Coming back to provide some DT depth here at Michigan.
Boom. /insider
