Does anyone else think Harbaugh might actually be encouraging this even if he knows Najee's going to bama? Maybe as a way to keep marketing Michigan to future recruits ? If he sticks with bama it just doesn't make sense.

I thought about the Harbaugh angle.

But not for the reason you mentioned...if anything, you'd want to know so you can turn your attention to someone else.

But maybe Harbaugh feels like the longer he waits, the more he (Michigan) is still in it. I'm not sure when the dead period is over but he'll be able to recruit him if it drags on longer. Even if he doesn't...Harris can still reach out to Harbaugh in a dead period.

Get him away from the emotion of this week, away from the Bama recruits...if you have mom in your corner get him back home with mom. Calm things down and keep trying to flip him.

I'm not saying that's happening, but IMO, that's more likely if Harbaugh had anything to do with it. Coaches persuade kids to wait all of the time just to keep recruiting them - as long as they're not enrolled - there's a chance. Harbaugh doesn't seem like a quitter to me.

That sounds spot on. Harbaugh is a 'never give up' kind of guy. If he was going to lose, then he made a heavy push to extend the game. If Najee is having surgery, then Harbaugh will be waiting for him in his hospital room. This is happening.

Jim - Najee, I know you're not coming here, but how bout letting people think you might as long as possible? Get your family involved. My staff and I will lie to all of our media contacts.

Najee - Well I'm sure my future coaches and fans would like to know I'm going to Bama, but sure, why not? How long do you want me to wait? You know I'd do anything for you - except play for you.

We've heard everything with this kid. People who suddenly 'know' he's not coming annoy me. We'll know soon, why give up now? Because he  said its "not a surprise"?

I come to this site a few times a day to see what's going on but with Harris recruitment I have been checking every hour.it has been a wild week. Kind of wanted this whole thing to end one way or the other. Now seems like this was all for nothing. Hope he heals up.

Everyone is acting like he's headed to Bama and he could be. My final points on this issue and then I will refrain from comment until he commits. 1) The longer this drags out, the more it sounds better for Michigan. 2) "it's not a surprise" doesn't mean Bama. Just means the appropriate coaching staff has been informed, so it's not a surprise to them. That statement doesn't seem committal one way or the other, come on guys, work with me. 3) IMO, (though the board probably doesn't agree) the only fan base and staff he could disappoint is Alabama's. For two years he has been committed there, Bama has everything to lose in this situation, not Michigan. Sure, it would suck not to get him, but it's not like he committed to Michigan first and is now thinking Bama last minute. So the fact that any of us would be butthurt about him sticking to his original two year commitment is just stupid, IMO. Though some of you will no doubt be up in arms with a kid who never committed to Michigan in the first place. SMH. Crootin....

Needs a PG year to mature. This whole recruitment for him has been bizarre, very childish. Najeeh would benefit from a PG year to grow up.

This is a shit statement.  He's a Alabama commit, and he has been for almost 2 years.  We all should look at him in that light.  If he changes it, we should all be ecstatic and thankful.  But to say he is being childish when he committed a long time ago is pure crap.

" where I'm going is not a surprise" judging by all of the people connected to him that we've recently seen expressing High marks 4 Michigan and wearing Michigan apparel, it would seem that if he decided to enroll at Michigan, in the end we'd look back and say.."Oh,that wasnt such a surprise after all". What do I know, im just happy for all the guys already in this 2017 class. With or without Najee, its a great class IMO.

Why the hell is a Northern California kid saying y'all? Is this some hint? People don't say y'all in Michigan, but they do in Alabama, y'all.

If JT Barrett were set to throw to me next year I'd declare too!

He had all of 32 catches this year - big woop.  Not much is going to change next year.  He had 2 whole games over 4 catches.  And those were 5 catches.  With a lot of 0-1-2s throws in.

And as the guy above you said, when you are wanting guys out of the program because you have 5* stars fighting each other to get in and you are having trouble finding room for all of them - this is a first class problem.

I like the use of his last name instead of his first.  Switching things aroud to keep us engaged.
