When he goes to Bama, it will officially cap a new low in behavior for the MGoBoard. And that's a huge statement.

This place ain't exactly a meeting of great minds. What's fascinating is that they seem to think they're exceptional. They are, but not in a good way!

I think you should relax Ronnie and get off your high horse. It doesn't take much to get excited about UM getting the #1 player, and this is a fan forum after all. Do some people take it too far? Sure. Just like on the rest of the entire internet. How about you stop shitting on your fellow posters? You ain't shit either.

by the minute.

So no more early enrollment.  Don't think his mother will want her son living far from home for the first time in his life and recovering from surgery.

Maybe he should have the surgery and use the recovery time to think about what he really wants.

For somebody that doesn't want to be in the spotlight, his actions are putting him in the spotlight way more than any other recruit. If ge really stays committed to Alabama at the end of all of this, then this all had to be for publicity.

Or maybe if he goes to Bama and doesn't announce it's because he did exactly what he said he was going to do (not announce) and he wasn't going to let public pressure change what he always said he was going to do - even if it would've made things easier.

Why not put everything to rest by just saying that all of the speculation and conjecture is by the media and he is and will continue to be committed to Alabama. If he said that, all of this stuff dies. For instance, USA Today reports of his flights die. I don't buy it; if he wanted it to die he could have ended it a long time ago with one sentence.

No I understand you're point...you're right.

But this is painful for you (maybe) and fans. What if he doesn't give a shit? What if it's just a simple as not giving in because everyone is saying you should do something you don't have to do by rule, law, or anything.

Sure he could end it, but that would require doing what he said he wasn't going to do.

I think it's pretty clear the adults running recruiting sites, freaking out on Twitter/message boards and stalking this kid's every move are the problem here.

We are really the ones driving the Najee feed (now 100% being picked up by USA Today because they see the pageview opportunity), not him.

Originally I was really high on him because he seemed like he was not a diva because he wanted no part of the media. But his non answers and recent actions make me think he is eating up this attention. I now think he may, in fact, be a diva.

Doing what?

He's doing exactly what he told you he was going to do all along.

The only reason you have a problem with it is because you keep reading all of the "insiders" comments and getting excited and then disappointed.

Najee told you what he was going to do...he's doing it. How is that being a diva?

I suggest you just stop reading the updates and craving the info...the kid already told you what he was going to do. Show up at school and go to class like every other kid.

If that bothers you, why is that his problem?

he doesn't owe anyone anything. He doesn't have to speak to you or pay sites or anyone. He knows where he's going? Ok. He doesn't have to tell anyone just because people want to know to end the drama they themselves created. He's done NOTHING and people are freaking out like he has to do something - it's crazy. Stop. He doesn't owe you or Sam or Tom or Steve or Harbaugh or Saban anything. It's not his fault that complete stranger adults stalk his social media, etc.

Let's slow down a bit there buddy. You are stretching my comment a bit. I said it feels like his actions are pointing toward him enjoying the drama, since he could technically end it by just saying, "I'm going to X". during the army All-American Game today, did you hear a bunch of speculation about the number two recruit in the nation? No that's because it's already sewed up with him. Najee says he doesn't like the circus and yet his actions bring on the circus , whether he likes it or not.

Why should he have to do something because of others?

So people he's good at football and people are interested in where he's going to school and all of these insiders keep getting people riled up with "updates" - it's now up to HIM to pick a school so all of it goes away and people feel better?

He's not out in the media going back and forth, he's not committing to school after school. But because the media and sports fans have created this stir it's now up to him to come out and pick a school on our time...not his.

Got it.

It seems that at the very least he knows where he's going and is leading both Michigan and Alabama recruits/coaches to believe it's them. There's been no sign that either school has been told they're out of it, yet he seemingly knows where he's going? I'm not sure that's a fair thing to do but whatever. He could also be saying it's not a surprise because it's either Alabama or Michigan. He could still be undecided but neither choice would really be considered a "surprise".

It's like recruiting services have been around so long and 99.9% of players have played along so fans truly think they deserve to know info about recruits. They truly don't get that they don't owe anyone anything. They don't have to share anything! It's not a fan's right to know anything about them.
