Not So Good News On Willie Gay

Willie Gay had an amazing first day of practice for the East today according to many scouts. It was hopeful that he would commit to Michigan but after reading this about LSU Id say its over.

“Did they have a linebacker de-commit today?” Gay asked SEC County.

Yep.

“Well tell them Willie Gay is on his way.”

He later says hes going to give one of their coaches a call and see if that spot is open for him which I doubt theyd turn him down. Gay is a bad loss as its possible hell be bumped to a 5* if he continues playing how he did today but luckily Michigan got a few stud linebackers of their own before all this

Exactly man. If this years linebackers hung with the OSU speed, then the team is sitting pretty at the moment. Peppers is hard to replace but three overall speed up grades will be so nice. Sorry Gedeon and McCray but you guys run like you eat at the breakfast buffet every morning before a game.

I really wanted to see this kid here giving OSU fits. Dont get me wrong, I love our LB's this year but he is our answer to Baron Browning.

Tackles can bump in to play guard

 

Runyan is supposedly doing well

 

We only hav like 8 or 9 OL on the roster before the 2017 class comes in and one is likely to medically red-shirt so we are "thin" everywhere, but playing freshman is ok

 

we have a high rated 2018 commit at G as well

This really sucks, despite singleton & Anthony being rated higher I felt like Gay had the most upside and was clearly the most athletic.

FYI bumping him to a 5* doesn't make him a bigger loss.  He's the same player.  That's just recruiting ranking obsession.  Go for a walk or something.

This sounds like a joke or BS. If he qualifies academically I think he goes UMich. If not, name any random SEC team i.e. Miss St., Ark, LSU, etc. Great talent, but I am happy with Singleton and Anthony BIG TIME!

Well I hope we land Najee and chuck because there isn't anything after that. I guess becton but that's it. If they land the 2 previously mentioned who cares but if only 1 then you have to wonder what happened. All of the recent commits have been "locks" for a long time. There haven't been any new names and the out of no where commits that happened last year had at least some mention of Michigan.
