Shane Morris Transferring

Submitted by WoodleyIsBeast on
Per his twitter. Shane has had a roller coaster of a time since his much hyped Junior year of high school. Hopefully he has great success as a starter, he will always be a great Wolverine!

Shane hung in and competed for four years. No bellyaching, good teammate and played through pain and adversity.

Go somewhere and start young man, you have earned it.

It's a bummer that it did not work out for Shane, but years from now Shane will be looked back upon as the major trigger which got us Jim Harbaugh.  Thank you Shane and good luck in the future!

Best of luck to him. Hopefully he gets a chance to start and tears it up. I always believed he had the physical skills to be great, maybe all he needs is a chance to be the man. Hope it works out for him.

Before this gets to the point where Dawson got yesterday...can we refrain from all of the comments about how he was never going to play, how we're okay, how this is no big deal or big loss?

Yesterday was pretty disappointing - let's just wish this kid the best and move on. Both Dawson and Morris gave everything they could to the program. They're Michigan through and through. We should be proud of them. They stuck it out, they battled injury, they supported their team when they could've pouted or been a distraction.

To my knowledge neither ever got in any trouble.

This is a moment to be proud, IMO, one of our guys is taking his MICHIGAN diploma and the lessons he learned at MICHIGAN and he's going to go try and do something with it.

We all know how big of or little of an impact this makes on the field. We all know what the depth chart looks like, I know firsthand I've posted plenty of reminders lol. IMO, we should all be happy for the kid and happy for the program.

Thanks again Dave Dawson, thanks Shane!

I am sure it was disappointing for him to not progress into the player he wanted to be. But wow, what a teammate, always working hard and he truly is the definiition of a Michigan man! I remember 4 years ago on how we tried his hardest to recruit the best to play for Michigan!

is at Grand Valley State. That may also be an option. Regardless, thanks for being " True Blue" and all your efforts helping recruiting in the Hoke era. Good luck wherever you end up !

While this is sad because I think a lot of us had high hopes for Shane, I hope he goes somewhere and rears it up. I'll be rooting for him.

Old news my friend. But best of luck to him. His career here turned out to be the exact opposite of what we all hoped it would be. I'm sure even moreso to him than it was to us. He will be remembered, through no fault of his own, for all the wrong reasons. But he said all the right things, did what was asked of him, and as far as we can tell, he never once complained about it. He's a man.

He got his degree, which is the most important thing, and I wish him nothing but success at his next stop. Hope to see him get a shot to live up to his potential and play on Sundays.

I've talked to or been around Shane many times in the last 3 years and I just love him and have lots of great things to say about him. He loves his team and his teammates!

He was so happy and excited for Harbaugh's first win and out celebrating with his teammates on the very night his redshirt was announced. He was very protective of/worried about O'Neill possibly overhearing something negative that he thought might be about to be said on the night of the disaster.

Down to earth, sincere, respectful, friendly, treats people well.

I think the only thing he needs is a coach that believes in him and a chance to play without being yanked or looking over his shoulder every time he goes in. Let this guy have some time to get in a groove and watch out! Rawls 2.0.

One of our redshirt freshman who'll be a stud on D next year told me Shane's been GREAT in practice this year!

I was as excited as anyone about Shane Morris being committed to Michigan. In retrospect, he was a glimmer of hope during a very dark time. Disappointing to see how things worked out with Shane. He seems to be a very good person who really loves Michigan. I can appreciate that.
