Its 5 Hours Until Game Time, And You Are Going to....

Submitted by xtramelanin on

Mates,

Reminiscent of Christmas morning for many of us, up since 0-dark-hundred and waiting for kick off.  Can't wait to open our 'gift' at noon.

So the question is:  What's on tap for you this a.m. between now and noon?   Work?  Workout?  Kids' stuff?  Coffee in your cup?  Hustling to EL?

Have a great morning.  Let's hope we are just as sky-high in 8 hours as we have been all week.  Go Blue and have a great weekend.

Coffee, then hot tub, then to the gym, then to the grocery store, then home to prepare a dip, then to a friends house to settle in for the beat down with a few beers and maybe some medicine.....I have arthritis.....and glaucoma. GoBlue!

Oh the pains of ministry, yes I am a staff church pastor. What am I doing today?

First, movie premier at 9:15 for a movie made at our church. Marcus Lattimore is actually in it. Then off to church to finish preparing for our 3 day fall festival. Luckily I have access to many electronic goodies in the building of which at least one will feature a certain game being played at noon.

GO Blue from South Carolina!

I've been looking forward to this carthartic beatdown of MSU for ~10 years. I have no fear today--drinking java #2 now, cheering for my 10 y.o. son's undefeated team to win the flag football championship game later this morning, and then settling in front of the big telly to watch the Blue put the choke hold on Sparty. Harbaugh is so mature and expresses nothing but respect for the opponent--and then we take the field. I loved Brian's prediction of a blowout shutout in the Game Preview. Let's make it so. And scorch the earth with ugly green shrapnel.

They're replaying last year's game on ESPNU right now...

Should I watch all but the last 10 seconds to remember how our team that wasn't nearly as good as it is now pretty much control the entire contest against their team that was much better then? Or just avoid it entirely???

Didn't sleep last night. My daughter is in the Atlanta Bands of America competition today and I chaperoned the over night stay (7:15 am performance - had to leave school at 4:30). Not sleeping till 12:30am Sunday after finals. I get to watch the the game though!

Breakfast with the family; the little one turned 3 at 12:15 this morning. Then maybe drain the irrigation, get a rub going on a rack of ribs, then open my little boy's birthday present (aka, enormous can of sparty whoop ass.)

I have a wife and baby boy that both bleed maize and blue, so--naturally--I have the drinking plan in order: lots of beer during the game and a special bottle of red tonight that we've been saving. The baby will be drinking large quantities of the house white (milk).

Well, I only woke up about 30 minutes ago, so coffee is on tap for now, and sometime between now and noon, I plan to fit in a nice walk and maybe breakfast. After that, the game. Not being one for mornings, this is the reason noon kicks are a bit of a logistics hassle for me - I just can't do the whole wake up a 6 AM thing outside of the time I have to do it for work reasons.

I have lived in columbus for 12 years now and while the UM/MSU is imporant (I usually go when it's in AA) I don't get that tingly "Christmas morning" feeling like I do for the osu game.

I do this year. This is the most excited i've been for a UM/MSU game in a very long time. That feeling walking out of that statium last year...

Those human paraquats are officially going to be little brother again. The one we show no mercy to, the one we teach a lesson to.......that sensitive little bitch Dantonio is done. He can go fuck himself. Yes, I'm salty about last year and those that preceded it. Onward.

I hope MSU is watching last years game on ESPNU right now - it's the only fun they'll have for the forseeable future.

Need to go pick up a new chicken for the wife's collection, then the game.  I've been telling her all week that I'm watching this game, and still she'll be surprised when I sit down.  She's not a sports fan, and just doesn't get it.  And she'll say "its just a game", for which I will want to beat her with an EUTM.

Alas, I'm not a Baylor fan, so that won't happen...

Got up at 6. Went to buschs for meat and beer. Prepped said meat. Gonna carve pumpkins with the wife while watching gameday. Then it's beer at a spartan funeral.
