OT? - Attendance Record to Fall?

I read an article that said they were expecting 160,000. So yes, it's likely our attendance record will fall.

But how are the sight lines?

If you paid for end zone seats there, you are a moron. I remember how bad they are at Illinois and the grand stand at Ross Ade, and those are 50 yards closer to the field than this.

Time to expand the Big House? With 90,000 season tickets sold this year, the amount of single game tickets available are significantly decreasing. In all reality, we could be a few 10+ win seasons and a national title away from expanding the stadium becoming a real discussion.

I wanted to go considering my wife went to VT and I live 5 mintues from BMS.  But good, god the tickets are expensive for terrible seats far from the field.  I expected them to be lower considering the huge supply.  I realize it's two rabid fan bases in a great area to get both...but I've gone to VT home games with better seats for cheaper than what I could find on the secondary market for this one.  But hey, I might go down and tailgate anyway.  Or go to Nashville for the weekend.

Lame. I hope the people who attend this game enjoy watching ants play football. What they really ought to do is have an auto race take place simultaneously with the football game.

Now it doesn't.  I'm glad we're back to having the biggest stadium, and that we have a good enough team that our fans want to come to games in droves.  That's enough for me.

this one seems to be low on that list

After watching the video, it looks pretty cool to me. Sure you will be far away in most of the stadium but the event will be very good. This is really no different than outdoor hockey. If we were not fans of the team with largest stadium, would you even worry about it? Seems like a really fun event to be involved in. The tailgating will be incredible.

I think it should have an asterisk next to it for being the most redneck college football game ever played.

I used to live in Alabama, about 20 minutes from Tennessee, and there was a healthy amount of Tennessee fans. They are still very angry at Michigan for winning the Heisman.

What do you expect from Tennessee?  This is pure stupidity and shouldn't count for any kind of "record".  Who in their right mind would want to watch (assuming you could actually see anything) a game under those conditions?

I would gladly trade our attendance record for a playoff berth.

Why don't we put two or three football fields inside Texas Motor Speedway and play all the games simultaneously.

• TCU vs Texas Tech
• Texas A&M vs Houston
