Different coach. Different team. Different mindset. Far different times.

If he wants a rematch, I'm sure Harbaugh would be game. I'd take our best against their best any day.

My thoughts about that team before the season started...."At least we know the defense couldn't possibly be any worse than last year."

Oh, they were worse. And they gave up the most combined and averaged points in the history of the program.

MSU has this win fair and square. But Mullen bragging about it would be the equivalent of me bragging about a win over Purdue.

The only thing I want to remember about that game is DRob still giving everything he had.  The only player that didn't quit on that team.  After every play, getting smacked to the ground, he bounced back up with that jump and smile ready to get the next play going.  His coaches and teammates let him down.

Mullen earned the right to brag a little here, but he should be a little more discerning when adding coaches to that tweet...

Please don't mind, but I'm going to use that. I like it. God, even your signature is great, never saw that one either. And will probably use that one too. Where can I subscribe to your newsletter.....

thank you, sec fools, for keeping harbaugh in the headlines? do these guys even realize what they're doing?

I hope he doesn't.  The Miss State tweet was about a competition, it was not an accusation about anything.

If Harbaugh wants to respond, it should be in kind . . . about a competition.  A link to Harbaugh's curb-stomping of the SEC East champion would be appropriate here.

Anyone remember when Dan Mullen was near the top of some people's list to become the next head coach at Michigan?

I think we can all breathe a long sigh of relief that one never came to fruition.

about who would be interested. There were posters wondering if Doc Holiday would be willing to leave Marshall, for example. Hackett would have been able to choose between several big name candidates if things had worked out differently with the 49ers.

I don't imagine Mullen can be all that happy about the recent course of his career. He's been mentioned for several better jobs. I believe the Michigan talk was all from his end. But he's still at Miss St, the deadend job of the SEC. It's hard enough to win there, but now he's fallen behind Ole Miss. The episode with Simmons isn't making him more employable elsewhere either. He's stuck there now and has to win enough to stay.

Whatever, that's a pretty decent tweet.  It doesn't have really anything to do with Harbaugh or the camp controversy.  It's not like that game didn't happen.  It did, and Miss State had their way with us that year.  Given the quality some of the other tweets or attempted burns at Michigan's expense have been, this is one of the better ones, if only by the low quality of ones we've become used to.

LOL, wow. So impressive. He spanked a really horrid RR UM team. Who the fuck didn't kick our asses those three years?

Miss State is a guest at the camp and acts like this - absolutely no class. Sort of underscores the Miss State program. Miss State does release they are absolutely irrelevant in the world of college football, right?

The unfortunate thing for Mullen is - 5 years later and he's still coaching at Mississippi State.  Guess his career is in a permanent stall.

No problem with that. Some light-hearted ribbing, harkening back to a big win that they had over Michigan. He's gotta play to his base. Besides, he was the clear #2 if Harbaugh didn't come to U-M, so I have no bitterness towards him. He could be a lot worse, and there he is actually spending time with and working with Coach Harbaugh. Good on him for supporting his team and fans with some fun.

Everyone lighten up.

This is just a joke. Hold your fire. Laugh. The constant barrage of absurdity from the SEC shouldn't make us lose our sense of humor when someone makes fun of us a bit.
