Favorite Michigan-OSU Basketball Moments
In preperation of the Michigan - OSU game let us reminisce about our favorite moments in this rivalry on the hardwood. I am not going to go back very far in time... for me it was last years game. Any game that features OSU losing, and Spike out playing a lottery pick is good enough for me. Also enjoyed when in the second half OSU couldn't stop spike so they tried to deny him the ball. Great moment

I'm thinking of the one where he air balls and then the camera cuts to all the osu fans heading for the exits!

The air ball is definitely the best one!!!! I will never forget that moment.

That is pure gold.
That kid annoyed me so much.

something about those ruddy cheeks always made me want to punch him in the face! and, he was someone who I probably could get away with punching in the face, vs a Greg Oden.

one of his blunders was my favorite and then I saw this again. Good thing I work from home because I laughed so hard I would have interrupted people working at the office.

I was there. Watching the OSU fans go dead silent after that was INCREDIBLE (we had been blowing them out the first half and then it looked as if they were going to pull off the comeback, until that happened).

at the end of the game. All the frustration with the refs just melted away.

The way that game was called, his last wild-ass drive to the hoop at the buzzer - his patented fling the ball at nothing and collapse like he got shot drive - could have put him at the line. Until it didn't. Goddamn, I'm glad to see that dude age-out of college mens basketball.

Michigan 75 - OSU 71 in the Southeast Regional Final... sending the Fab 5 to the Final Four. Great game, great moment in time!

I second this nomination. It was the most meaningful game (advanced to the final 4) and it continued a period of total Michigan domination over OSU in the major sports. I'm hoping 2016 is the start of the next period of domination...

I really miss having Nik on our team. Can you guys imagine if all of those guys stayed all four years? We would have been in at least one more title game.

Who could say the same thing, but I know what you mean.

Kentucky pretty much openly cheats so any complaints they can make are invalidated. When you cheat you get no sympathy. UNC also had some legit violations, again invalidating any complaints they had.

For example, I think in 1996 North Carolina's starting 5 would have been Jeff Mcinnis or Ed Cota, Jerry Stackhouse, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison and Rasheed Wallace.
February 16th, 2016 at 4:34 PM ^
Fair enough. That's a really intimidating starting five, too

he knew what Nik was about to do before it even started. Dakich and McGary were great.

Plays solid defense in both sequences (this one and above) and yet Nik hits nothing but the bottom.

Can't stop watching Dakich.

There's a gif with Aaron Craft airballing followed immediately by a shot of Buckeye fans leaving Value City. I don't know where that one is though.
