Hello: Jimmy Dougherty

Lost in all this is that Dougherty worked under Harbaugh at the University of San Diego from 2004 to 2006 and stayed in SD for a couple more seasons after Harbaugh left.

Every time SJSU comes up, I marvel at the fact that they have 3 former Michigan coaches (no clue if they also have so lesser ones). (Borges, GERG, Ferrigno)

I think GERG retired

How can this be? All the trolls have constantly pointed out that we ONLY hire the parents and HS coaches of recruits we want to pick up....this is BLASPHEMY!!!!

Harbaugh's chess mastery continues. This guy was a candidate for Fisch's job last year. We hired Fisch for about 12 dollars and he became an ass-kicking coach and recruiter who handcrafted Jehu Chesson's NFL resume and landed a crop of lights-out receivers. Fisch is still here, kicking all that ass, and now we hire this guy anyway a year later.
How many seasoned OCs have taken analyst jobs now? Harbaugh must promote an exceptional work environment. Contrast that with Bravid Dandon. Nobody wanted to work for him.

Angelique says he's "likely" replacing T.J. Weist as senior offensive analyst.
EDIT: Thayer Evans (who broke the news) calls Dougherty's job, in this article, a "non-full-time assistant position coach role" (if that makes it any clearer).

Are these positions limited in quanity by the NCAA? Will this impact UM's ability to hire Poggi or Bush, Sr.?
February 11th, 2016 at 1:01 PM ^
AFAIK, support personnel like "analysts" are not limited by the NCAA since they're not on-the-field coaches.
It would not affect Michigan's ability to hire Bush. I have not heard promising things about Poggi coming to Michigan at this point, but the door isn't shut.

I'll eat a hat if Poggi ends up here this year.

but you might want to make one of these hats if it happens... https://www.google.com/search?q=nacho+hats&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiql9qUr_LKAhWDuB4KHfoCA1wQ_AUICCgC&biw=1366&bih=634#imgdii=Ktb2AGmppEgQNM%3A%3BKtb2AGmppEgQNM%3A%3BL2AX7i6sIwE0IM%3A&imgrc=Ktb2AGmppEgQNM%3A

Yeah, I thought Poggi announced that he was heading to Stanford with Hamilton.
