Hello: Jimmy Dougherty

Thayer Evans is reporting San Jose State assistant Football Head Coach Jimmie Dougherty is being hired as an offensive assistant. Many of you may remember Dougherty as a position coach candidate last year. Not sure what his exact role is, but he's a welcome addition! Sorry, don't know how to embed a tweet

Harbaugh's chess mastery continues. This guy was a candidate for Fisch's job last year. We hired Fisch for about 12 dollars and he became an ass-kicking coach and recruiter who handcrafted Jehu Chesson's NFL resume and landed a crop of lights-out receivers. Fisch is still here, kicking all that ass, and now we hire this guy anyway a year later.

How many seasoned OCs have taken analyst jobs now? Harbaugh must promote an exceptional work environment. Contrast that with Bravid Dandon. Nobody wanted to work for him.

AFAIK, support personnel like "analysts" are not limited by the NCAA since they're not on-the-field coaches.

It would not affect Michigan's ability to hire Bush. I have not heard promising things about Poggi coming to Michigan at this point, but the door isn't shut.
