I don't normally have any animosity when recruits decommit, but this is kinda bullshit.  Not only will Elliot have commited to four seperate programs, but he used the recent negative publicity against Michigan to excuse his rather immature impulsiveness, and did so after he had already scheduled his visit to Texas.

Agreed. Decommiting sucks, but I am disappointed in how Elliott claimed over and over that if another coach called he would tell him "No Thanks", or that he refuted over and over that he was not going to go to visit Texas. Kid looks really bad and really pathetic. I also did really bad and really pathetic stuff at that age too. I hope he learns from this and becomes a better young man for it. That will be the true test of his character.

Geez, are there any other DT targets that are realistic? None last class, and only Dwumfor this class? In 2017 all there is, is Hurst, Mone, Dwumfor and some true freshman in the 2017 class? Man, the whiffs from 2015 loom large. Tagaloa is now the second most important recruit even if he is a crazy long shot.

It must suck to be this kids girlfriend.

Imagine how long it takes for Elliot to get ready in the morning...'I'll wear this! No, this! No, this! NO, THIS! Four hours later...he's still changing...and now late.

Whatever though. Good luck. He owes that Texas writer an apology if he goes to UT.

Sorry. No time to respond. I am being overwhelmed by news stories about the the malice and dishonesty being perpetrated upon coach Harbaugh and the Wolverines.

So will he still be pushing Josh king to come to UM?

I do think this kid was some fallout of the aggressive tactics we are using as he tweeted some things to that effect (not directly with UM in it but you can read between the lines).  That said, who knows if he would have flipped even without that as that was his MO.

Magnus stated guys like this who flip alot rarely stick to their school the whole 4 years so it will be interesting.  Don't want to character assassinate a 17 year old so we'll just see if things don't go his way how he reacts.

Nah, thats just you grasping for some sort of validation after your poorly taken stance in regards to Swenson/Weaver.

There were rumblings about Texas before any of that and he set up the Texas visit before the Swenson ordeal occured.

Nice try though. Stick to the swim lanes my friend!

I love how a subset of this website cannot believe anyone could possibly be affected by anything perceived as negative.  When a recruit start tweeting about "snakes" a week ago and similar things all in a cluster I am sure these just came out of thin air.  Or maybe he was dissecting snaked in biology that day.

As I wrote he could have flipped anyway.  And its an opinion reading between the lines that it had a partial effect.  Just like you have an opinion it had no effect.

Just because he was vistiing Texas doesn't mean he was going to decommit.  Many variables right?  This could have been 1 and based on his "not so positive" tweets which happened immediately post Swenson I find it interesting this subset is ironclad it had 0% effect.  I suggested it was possible.

Guy was recruiting Josh King to UM a few days prior to these negative tweets.  What obvious thing changed in that time?

You suggest its a possibility because you - very poorly - tried to make the claim that the Swenson incident would harm recruiting. Michigan then proceeded to grab 6 recruits in a week.

Now, a guy that has already commited to four schools and had an official to Texas set up before the Swenson case decommits and you latch onto it as possible proof that you weren't completely wrong.

It's clear from your constant rambling about this issue that you're not content to simply speculate and move on.  You desperately want this to be true.  I don't know why, but it's annoying as hell.

Jordan Elliot is the last person you should be using to support your argument.  He's been extremely fickle throughout the entire process, went back on his word that he wouldn't visit any other schools, and scheduled his official well before those tweets.

It takes either a dumb or disingenuous person to evaluate those facts and say "yeah, the guy decommitted because we pulled an offer from an offensive lineman in Illinois he doesn't even know."

You know, Im taking the opposite approach with this one which may not be a very popular opinion. I certainly don't wish injury or personal problems upon him but I hope his football career is plagued with awful play and poor success. Like, I wouldnt mind if Baylor racks up 400 yards rushing directly at him and the guards hes faces put more pancakes on him than an IHOP.

Everybody on here is pretty darn bitter towards a kid who we knew was leaving. It sounded like when he committed he expected a couple of friends from Texas to also commit and then they didn't. There's a reason that it's easier to get kids from a pipeline. They have friends and a support system here. Best of luck to the kid.
