God, EMB's offer list is impressive.

So is Uche's. Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Miami, South Carolina... he also apparently runs a 4.59 40. Blitz him all day long.

You aren't lying. I literally just went to check it... This guy is a stud and a potential for sleeper of the year because of his star status

So we will have room left for Murphy?

They're two completely different types of players. However, I do not expect Uche to be a "linebacker" in the traditiional way that we use that word. He is probably going to be a rush linebacker. Think of the way that we used Mario Ojemudia this past season.

Jourdan Lewis and Jeremy Clark both play cornerback, but they're not the same size.
January 24th, 2016 at 3:51 PM ^
These are going to be really interesting players to watch going forward, as their offer sheets are totally different relative to their rankings.
Uche: Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Miami, UNC, Miami and South Carolina. Also, Boston College (when Brown was there). I remember hearing an Interesting note about Uche...he didnt play football until late his sophomore season and his first full season was his junior year - so definetely some untapped potential there in terms of his development.
Mbem-Bosse: Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida, Iowa, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tenneesee, and Auburn

I think it's very impressive that Miami liked Uche so much they offered him twice - or is one of those YTM and the other NTM?

If he commits to Michigan: "massive upside potential, looks like a potential 2nd rounder in 4 years, some of the best HS tape I've seen this year, I've never seen a motor out of a guy like this who is not named Gary, Don Brown gem, Bama gonna be pissed they didn't offer, 3* of the south = 4* of the north."
If he commits elsehwere: "meh."

Sorry...better phrased as "commitable offer". As we've seen around here the past few weeks an offer and AN OFFER are t2 different things with schools throwing out 200 a year.
January 24th, 2016 at 4:32 PM ^
Look, I know some of the people on here take themselves Super seriously - but negging alum96's perfectly reasonable and accurate interpretation of what he and the rest of us will say whichever way this double commit plays out was La Douchey...

defintely late bloomer/under the radar type. he didn't play a full football season until his junior year. He fits perfectly in Brown's speed rusher/blitz scheme and was one of Brown's main targets once he got the job (he had offered him at BC as well). Also, I think his high school is one of the best teams in the highest level in the state in terms of competition level.

a letter to Mom to feed him plenty of whole milk along with a large steak everyday.

I don't think baking would be very good for his development, though I guess it would help him add weight.

Per crystal ballz it looks like these 2 and Stewart are headed in and Nate Johnson and Johnathan Jones to ND. Wonder if Stewart gets a shot at CB.

WR 3 for 1 deal on February 3.
January 24th, 2016 at 4:27 PM ^
Yeah I already had him as an assumed
Going to be interesting which of these WRs move to the DBs as we are sorely lacking post 2016. Esp as we lose momentum with Hill. Hudson looks more like a S/"Peppers LB" type. Fuller seems headed to OSU. So it would appear 2 of these WRs might end up at corner at least down the road.

Last I saw there was some academic stuff to clean up before an offer could go out. But Sam's gut is full on Dwumfour. They will make room for Murphy if he wants to be here. You just don't stand up the rare #GingerMullet
January 24th, 2016 at 4:43 PM ^
Alum you are obviously assuming Fuller isn't having the time of his life stuck in A2 with Gary's mob while NJ digs out?
I saw a sweet little vine from Drew Singleton that looked the crew was having a blast - SNOW DAY!!!

Uche is listed at 6'1" or 6'2", so he's not tall. I wouldn't call him lanky, either, but I guess that's in the eye of the beholder... Also, I don't see the arm tackling thing, either. I mean, he does use his arms to tackle quarterbacks in the backfield, but that's necessary since QBs are usually running away from you and not toward you. It's one thing to arm tackle a RB when you meet him in the hole. It's another thing to arm tackle a QB as he's running for his life and you're chasing him from behind.
