If you look at the titles of the posts that are currently on the front page you see one that says "All recruits being told to wait as 'silent commits' until signing day" and another labeled "NSD commits/extravaganza." If you read the first thread yesterday and then started today with this one you're going to think that someone committing today won't be commiting to UM.

This would be a violation of Harbaugh's wish for all remaining potential commits to push their announcements until NSD. Unless he's backed off of that idea. God, following recruiting is terrible.

Thank you for providing useful information instead of being a dick and just telling people that they're ignorant because this is the first item they read after yesterday's post that said Harbaugh wants all new commits to be silent commits until NSD.

This all started with a recruit from Florida who we were interested in but who chose USC because he doesn't like cold whether decommitted from USC and seems ready to choose OSU.  This concerrned us because the docommitment suggested that this means that Gary is going to USC, unless it doesn't.  Recruitniks then scoured the internet for any sign that the decommitment means something about Gary's status-however everyone was told to stand down until NSD because commitments would remain silent until then, which everyone thought was a cool idea indicating lots of great things in store for NSD, except for those who thought the exact opposite.  Then we were told this morning to ignore the thing about everyone staying silent because two guys are commiting later today.  Nobody is sure what that means but ballz seem to be moving.

Posting this here and on Wolverine247, but the thinking has changed from Michigan's perspective. While some may stay silently committed until February 3rd, I think you are going to see a few publicly drop, and sometime in the near future.
Wanted to post this here since yesterday's scoop garnered a lot of discussion on the board, and it appears that it wasn't 100% accurate.

it being the Panic Period Before Signing Day, the title of that thread wasn't descriptive enough to trump the Uche/Elysee announcement post, because based on yesterday's information it speaks to our panic mode and requires immediate attention.  "NSD Commits/Extravaganza" sounded like yet another post telling us what's happening on signing day (events, timing, expectations, speculation).  Many of us figured that if there was new info as to time, place, expectations-- we could get that after our panic attack was served. 

Now we can relax.  For another few minutes.

How do I know this? Look EMB's recent follows on twitter. 

That is the dead giveaway with every recruit. When a decision date is near, look at their recent follows and twitter activity.

I did this with Walker, Bush, Crawford and Long and it was rather obvious.

Onwenu just followed the sparty OL coach, but that's the only guy from there he has followed recently which doesn't really bother me since he likely just met him yesterday. edit: The sparty OL coach followed him first, so it's like a follow back as per Twitter etiquette

If activity picks up, I'm going to be worried.

LaVert Hill is tougher to read in terms of followers, but I've pretty much given up on him coming here from what I've read on Scout. I'll gladly eat lemons if I'm wrong but I have zero optimism with him. 

Same goes for getting any kid from Detroit MLK as long as the coaches that are there right now stick around. LaVert would've committed months ago if he stayed at Cass Tech.

Ok, unlike many apparently, I'm here on the regular, saw Lorenz' earlier post about the change in M's direction re: Commitapalooza, realize that someone committing today could be good - or bad.

But I do not know who these 2 players followed in the past 48 hours on Twitter, and I do not know what the Hell you are suggesting about Det King coaches & M's relationship?

I've seen nothing on here suggesting there has been an irreparable tear - what is the deal there?

All of what I said about MLK coaches is opinion based off of past things.

I'd be stunned if LaVert Hill came here. That's how I'm taking all of the updates on his recruitment on the premium sites. What was once thought of as a lock went to 50/50 and likely now trailing.

Well, in all fairness, I'm not a WD basher - which there are WAY too many of here - but saying you'd be surprised if we ever get another payer from MLK while the current coaching staff is in place is a pretty Damn big statement to make and have nothing at all to back up.

This makes me happy. Now if Patriots and Carolina can cover -3 it will be a good Sunday. Didn't start very good removing over 30 inches of snow from my driveway. Beverages are pouring now!!!
