For years people have been looking to Tennessee as "This year's surprise team" because of how well they've recruited. Basically as well as Michigan with comparable results but without their own Harbaugh

That's the kiss of death for Iowa isn't it, ranking them in a preseason top 20? Go ahead and pencil them in for about six losses right now.

I've already started chalking up a loss for them in the UM game on November 12.

This was Iowa's one chance to flip a coin a bunch of times and it came back heads every time for once. They'll probably return to 7-5 territory

We're going to win the National Championship regardless of preseason rank. 15-0

Michigan goes 19-0 and wins Super Bowl 51.
You heard it here first.

Blows my mind when I see this or real rankings with three Texas teams in the top 25, but they are Baylor, TCU, and Houston.

Get with the times, Athlon.

13-0 heading into the playoffs.
Always thought we'd beat MSU next year.
Now think we beat OSU with all of the departures.
B1G West is laughable.
13-0 heading into the playoffs. Not sure if that makes us a #1 seed...I don't think it'll be a pretty 13-0, or a dominant 13-0, but we'll be undefeated nonetheless.
(For those that think what I've said is an oxymoron...just think back to FSU last year and year 1 of the playoff).

And will pay you a dollar for your prescience if we achieve that. Next year's schedule starts too easy and finishes too challenging for me to actually believe we can emerge undefeated. Best cases, we drop one or two. The latter season road games with attrition, "clock management," B1G officiating "wrinkles," and depth issues, look brutal. Hope I'm wrong, and I enjoy the grappiness.

I heard a lot about Gentry workout out at TE for the bowl game to get ready for next year. Haven't heard that much about O'Korn.

In every data set you have outliers. Kirk Ferentz is a very good coach but not an elite one and he's been doing the exact same thing for almost 20 years at Iowa. He's basically an 8 win coach. He had a blip in 2009 going 11-2 and a blip in 2015 going 12-2. I expect Iowa to be 8-5 next year

Like the editor said, our road schedule is brutal next year. I have faith in jim but winning the conference is a lofty goal with games against the TDS, Mich St. Im not particularly worried about iowa as i think they backed into the the B10 championship by means of an easy schedule. 2017 looks much more favorable if jimmy keeps recrutiing the way he is. Open up against flolrida then walk through the b10.

Not sure if Michigan should start top 10 next year, but if they start next year like how they played against Florida, they can beat anyone on their schedule. Just need someone to step up at QB (which I'm not worried about), and need better play at LB.
