it puts things into perspective so much. As someone else said I'd rather have UM go 0-12 forever than see one young person (or any for that matter these just really hit hard) have to go thorugh what Chad did.

He seemed quite brave...braver than I would have been. Little guy was a warrior. My God bless that family with some sort of peace over time.

I saw this come across Twitter and my heart just sank - very heartbroken for the Carr family.

I can't even imagine...and it just is not fair. Thoughts go out to the Carrs in this difficult time.

Cancer can fuck itself.

Devastating that Chad will not be given a fair chance at life. This really makes my heart brake. I'm at work and went out to my car to collect myself. It's important that we remember kids like Chad and Princess Lacey so we can keep up the fight against childhood cancer (all cancer really). There are still so many children that fight this disease and hopefully if we keep up the fight, we will find a full cure someday. RIP Chad.

I can't even begin to imagine how awful this must be for Jason and Tammi Carr. The nightmare that wakes me up in a cold sweat is the thought of something happening to my kids. I'm fortunate to not have to experience what the Carr's have gone through, and I hope I never have to. My heart goes out to them and I hope little Chad Carr gets to find some peace, wherever he may be now.

Cancer took my 79 YO fire haired grandmother and it took my 24 YO sister-in-law who had the free spirit of a gypsy. It doesn't discriminate and is universally hated. . .  I say fuck you cancer, you can go to fucking hell.

His family has been through hell and I just want to send best wishes and prayers their way at this point and time. Really puts the games on Saturday in perspective. They mean nothing in the big picture. Sorry for your loss....sincerely.

Condolences to the whole family and hopefully Chad's suffering will soon lead to a cure. If not, this sucks that much more. The young man will always live in our hearts.

Just a terribly sad day for the Carr family.  I hope that their faith (they've asked for prayers from those so inclined) is a comfort to them through this unimaginably-difficult time.  I don't know them personally, but as part of the community I am sorry for their loss.

Hug your children, folks.  Each day is a gift!

And support cancer research.

What a heartbreaking end.  A tough little man who gave everything he had to the fight.  Kudos to Bucky and Sparty for their amazing support duing Chad's fight, sometimes it's ok to hate them just a little less.  He was a warrior to the end.  He stayed in the fight until the bitter end, and will always be a champion.  #ChadTough

Young lad.  You were taken far too early.  May you find peace and comfort as your spirit sails through the universe.  And if you happen to cross paths with a Coach Bo, have seat on his lap and enjoy The Game while you float together into eternity.
