Worst game plan I have ever seen.

OSUs gameplan today was atrocious. Ive never been so stunned by play calling throughout a game. That MSU secondary is weak as hell and OSU took what? 2 shots the entire game? One of which included Braxton Miller breaking wide open. They never once tried that again. It just made no god damn sense. Personally, i think the way things went today helps our chances a lot next week. Just sucks that unless MSU chokes, The Game means nothing more than bragging rights. Which btw, is enough for me to be jacked up. Just wish it was for Indy, straight up.

Disagree. MSU didn't pass much because they were running the ball effectively. Why risk having your inexperienced QBs turn the ball over? OSU could not run the ball effectively yet continued to run. On top of that, they only ran Elliiot 12 times, a guy that had run for over 100 in 16 straight games. I understand the weather changes things but you need to at least present the threat of going downfield. As was mentioned, they threw one long ball for Miller who was so wide open it wasn't funny. Why not take another shot later? You also had Cardale Jones with the strongest arm in college football on the bench so if weather was truly a factor why not bring him in? It was most bizarre gameplan I have ever seen.

As much as Brady Hoke was not a head coach....he brought in character guys who have the right attitude. Hearing Elliot in his interview talking about play calling, and seeing the cardale jones tweet saying they are both done just shows how it's a different attitude this year. Great Talent on MSU and OSU, but there seems to be a lack of testicular fortitude. I think harbaugh has these guys playing to their max... (Even with 3rd string d-line). My smoker is going to be cranking next sat with chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket.....this game will be epic!!!

They're spoiled. They've never had to handle adversity. And their petulant, idiot fan base will now begin to cannibalize itself...
They lose one game and I'm sure they wanna "fire someone" or cut someone or hang someone in the streets. They're idiots. This is all they have.
Honestly tho, why not try throwing the ball urbs? State is terrible in coverage. Must not have watched the game film. Duh.

Instilling the right values is something that makes college football unique. Hoke was a terrible game planning coach, but his players would run through a brick wall for him. Michigan went 5-7 last year and mutiny wasn't setting it. There weren't Twitter comments, post game antics, there was just sorrow from a loss and , I believe, a generally tremendous work ethic from the players to win the next week. If Hoke would have gotten those recruits I have no doubt they would have been respectful men who would not do the things they do down in Columbus.
That being said. Don't hire Hoke back at Michigan. We're quite happy with Harbaugh.

To me, this game demonstrated an incredible arrogance from the OSU coaching staff. They completely ignored the strength of their opponent based on the belief that they could control the LOS despite personnel mismatches, and they never adjusted when that clearly wasn't the case.

Who really expected that this year? We are playing with house money now. A win next week would be great but a loss doesn't mean this season was a failure in no way. Wait until we see more Harbaugh recruits on the field, then we can judge.

Hmmm, apparently you missed the entire Brady Hoke era at Michigan.

While Urbz shat the bed and was completeley outcoached by Dantonio in this one, at least he had a headset on.  You must have forgotten our game plan the past two years.

Clap, clap, clap...

As I get older my instincts are rarely wrong any more.  There was something definitely going on in this game beyond what we saw on the field.  Either (a) Meyer chose the lamest game plan ever to try and save all of the fireworks for us this week, or (b) Meyer has decided he wants to coach elsewhere (which  makes no sense unless he genuinely fears Harbaugh) and has checked out mentally.  My guess is it's (a).

He was to busy scheduling Lou Holtz and an Arkansas fan, who used to live in a Big White House, to talk to the team this week. Didn't have the time to game plan.

I'm shocked that coaches who spend many hours watching game film couldn't make an offensive game plan structured around MSU's obvious weekness. A 14-year-old boy who does nothing but play Madden would've obvious just thrown it deep every other play.

I swear to God I thought someone had a gun to urb's wife's head. I am not a professional coach and I am confident I could have given theme a chance to win.

Worst offensive gameplan.  I've always been a huge believer that Urban Meyer is not as good of a coach as everyone thinks he is.  But his offensive gameplan and lack of adjustments was astounding.  Ohio State screwed us again...

looked like Mickey protecting Rocky in III before Apollo taught Rock something about speed and heart. I can't figure out why Urbz didn't do more or adjust. weird. maybe he's fried on coaching like he was a few years ago....

and have trash talked my buckeyes up over and over, telling all of you about the ass whopping coming your way. Well, I have no doubt after tonight that OSU has nothing, and UM is going to beat our ass. Of course you guys already know that.

Coaches are generally arrogant. They don't change that easily. He played Cardale at the beginning of the year. Tried JT in redzone. That worked. So made him a full time starter. He messed up those QBs. Even if Elliott is hurt, you should have someone else run the ball. You have plenty of 5 star players. How about option football. How about chugging it down field. How about having a safety in the box. Meyer was arrogant. He won't change. He will win games because of talent. I refuse to give him credit. Last year, Alabama was surprised because they couldn't make out what Cardale can do.

It's been said elsewhere, but Tom Herman probably, made himself an even hotter comodity after watching OSU implode. I know we were all scared when they brought in Nebraska's OC to replace him, but it's clear now that Meyer isn't as innovative an offensive thinker as maybe he once was.

The fact that OSU fans are actively shopping Tim Beck for available vacancies this morning speaks volumes about what they thought about that particular game plan too, and I have to say as a third party watching that game, I don't exactly blame them. Why Beck would go so conservative at such critical points was unimaginable to me having seen Tom Herman find ways to get everyone involved on offense in previous years? I mean, on a couple plates late, they went to an offset "I", something that MSU could defend in its sleep really. I would love to know why.

I can't believe they didn't go deep. I can't believe they didn't try Cardale. I can't believe they didn't put more in the box. Just shocked. It is always fun seeing OSU lose though!
