Pretty much says it all. Five star LB Ben Davis cancelled a visit to Ole Miss and says he's likely replacing with trips to Michigan or Notre Dame. Based on our depth chart, this would be a wise move.

His top schools are all SEC and he's from Alabama but there were flattering quotes about Harbaugh and Wheatley.

Prob nothing to get excited about unless he does in fact visit

Nice to see Michigan finally targeting better athletes at linebacker.  Feels like we've had slow, lumbering guys manning the position for way too long.

M has been recruiting athletic LBs since probably the mid 90s. But if reading UFRs has taught me anything, it's that the ability to make fast and accurate reads is the most important skill a LB needs. Sometimes that means you'll have a guy with more experience or a higher "football IQ" playing ahead of better pure athletes on the bench.

News about Saban and maybe he's got 1 foot out the door already. Rumors are circulating here in So Cal that he may be on the move. Just saying it's going around here

I'll throw another $5,000 on top of that. If Saban was going to leave for a USC or Texas type of job, he would've done t by now.

He is God at a program that is just as prestigious as those other schools. He gets whatever recruits he wants, and he is worshipped by everyone in that state that isn't an Auburn fan. He's not going anywhere.

Not saying Saban is leaving, but there is a certain appeal to some of these guys to be the center of attention. The newness of a relationship is like a drug, it takes a lot nurturing to keep things going. He may just be looking for a new challenge.

Seems like we have a need and line backers should be lining up. As usual... I don't get it but this kid is not coming to Michigan. Prove me wrong. All the benefits for a kid but what has been promised to him through the SEC "process".

Even if he is just using this for "the experience" and is planning on being all sec, I have faith in Harbaugh to show him all about EUTM when he hits campus. I don't doubt for one second that Harbaugh is capable of flipping someone who had no intention of flipping after getting some quality time with him.

I really like this kid. When we offered him a while ago, I thought he was a pipe dream so I didn't pay much more attention. Michigan needs linebackers, and I think this kid could be a player in year one or year two.
