U-M, OSU Basketball Coaches Come Together to Put Up Christmas Decorations at Chad Carr's House
Sorry if this was already posted in the Chad Carr thread (and sorry for the long title), but this deserves its own thread. According to a post by Tammi Carr on Facebook, the men's basketball coaches and staff from Michigan and Ohio State came to Chad Carr's house today and put up all the Christmas decorations at Chad's house. There are lights all over the house and reindeer in the front yard.
(See embedded photo of the house below.)
This is what Tammi just posted on Facebook, along with the photo of the fully decorated house:
"Wow! Special thanks to the michigan men's basketball coaches and staff and the Ohio state men's basketball team's coaches and staff. They came together to do this for chad. Amazing!!!! Love and thanks to you all!! Bigger than the rivalry!!"
We needed something to smile about today, and this is just damn cool. The school down south has some class.

Great gesture by both squads - thank you, Buckeyes

Bless you, Buckeyes. And bless you, Chad Carr. It's wrong that you have to go so soon, but you've made a big difference in your short time on Earth, and that's incredible. You champion.

Just coaches and staff technically, but close enough. Nice to see rivals working together on things bigger than sports.

This is what is great about sports around the holidays.
Hated rivals or not, this is a damn classy gesture by OSU.

In the end the rivalries all fade when we want to ease the suffering of a child and his family. As they should.

Rivalry aside, both fan bases have good people (and bad) but at times like this it's good to see all differences set aside for the greater good. Thanks Buckeyes.

Way to bring the class to the rivalry...

This is the way it should be. We are rivals, not enemies.

I just hope someone was there to witness a bunch of huge scarlet and grey clad guys hopping out of a bus followed by the same in maize and blue without any context. If I was there and didn't know it was Tammi Carr's house, I can only imagine how confused I would be.

Ah, that makes more sense, but also erases that incredibly weird scene. Thanks for the info.

They did a nice job, the decorations look great, and I hope it brings comfort to the Carr family.
So much is not fair in this life. Yet, such a classy gesture from our top rival, gives me new hope for all of us humans.

Often times those with the most invested in the rivalries get "it" while those with the least invested simply don't and never will.

The bigger picture...Way to go Buckeyes! Classy act of kindness...

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this but there are some good OSU peeps out there. The owner of the company I work for went to OSU and I actually hired somebody from OSU to work for me. Two great people. They even tolerate my massive Michigan Stadium Fathead on my office wall. Kudos to the OSU staff for putting up those Christmas decorations. Just awesome.

Classy move by the OSU staff here. My hat is off to them. Some things are bigger than sports.

We all know each fanbase has their share of great people and idiots. Yes we want to beat the heck out of rivals but at the end of the day we are all just people who at least can be civil to our fellow man. This action is a nice example of perspective for fans who don't get it.

ood to remember sometimes that rivals are still human beings. Great effort by everyone.
