Eh. I just wish the weather…

Eh. I just wish the weather was better for baseball regardless of outcomes for me to attend. I've enjoyed my times in A2 and EL for games once my toes thawed.

From my personal experience,…

From my personal experience, an F-150 is great. the new Ram 1500's are great, best in class but avoid any HD/SD (anything that starts with a 2) if you value your ass and fillings. You can get a full-size of any brand for the price of a Ranger or Tacoma.

If you want to sit on the floor of your rig, have 90's tech and engineering pick a Toyota Tacoma. If you want better engineering and want mid 2000's tech pick the Ford Ranger. If you want 2010 engineering pick the Colorado/Canyon. If you want modern tech and engineering pick a domestic full-size. They're huge but give you the best value.

Not to be a dick...

When it comes to this type of inside info I would bet recruits are probably well informed. In fact I bet if there are renderings they would have seen them before any of us.

Cannot add more games

The championship game could feature two teams that will played 14 games heading into to it. Thats more than enough, probably too much.

I'd rather they dump one of the stupid non-conference games (not interested in baby seal games that don't benefit a Michigan MAC school), move to a 8 team playoff with at least the first round games played at higher ranked teams campus. Scrap some of the chickenshit bowls, make all bowls start the week of Christmas while we're at it.

Eh, a lot of coaches wear

Eh, a lot of coaches wear sweatshirts and almost all of them wear khakis on the sidelines.

This is Dantonio from the Cotton Bowl in either 2015 or 2016.

Bullshit

No college team could beat an NFL team. Alabama wouldn't cross the 50 against the Lions (or Browns) because an NFL d-line would own the backfield and the corners would blanket college wide outs with ease. The physical and athletic advantage is so wide its crazy. Look at the difference from FBS to FCS or even within conferences between the top 3-4 teams to the bottom.

These polls are more about just dogging the awful NFL than anything else and they're just for fun.

How very sad

Condolences to the Nebraska program and the friends and family of Sam Foltz.

Deepest sympathies to the MSU football program and all of those who loved and cared for Mike Sadler. It's pretty sad and humbling to see some of the tributes from the MSU community on Twitter. From all of his teammates, coaches both past and present and the rock already painted in his honor. One tweet in particular stuck out to me though from Mark Dantonio and it was a retweet from Mike Sadler dated January 1, 2015 that said "One of the hardest things in life is walking away from the people and places that gave you so much. Thank you MSU! #3"

Ludacris

Move Bitch.

Doesn't matter

Who care about what happened in 1987 when those players could have kids in the tourney.

Yep!

Michigan won the NIT and many pundits proclaimed them the best team in nation after worst team in the NCAA tourney.

Really?

We look back at Lloyd as having great years disregarding some really shitty bowl performances.

We've been lucky

Not to bring up the worst thing ever but we're lucky App. St. was before everygame was televised everywhere.

+1

Spot on. This team isn't winning the NIT and if anything might not go very far in there. I would rather see them get bounced in the NCAA by a Duke/Zona/MSU level team than get bouced in the NIT by a lesser team.

Yes!

It's good shit isn't it?!

Fun game!

I feel like an old bastard but hearing these names from both teams being called is awesome. There were so many great games between the two and it seems they played every year in the playoffs so you if you followed the Wings, you knew the Avs just as well.

Oil and Water

ESPN and hockey are like oil and water once they quit showing NHL games. They barely acknowlege it exists outside of the playoffs.

Raw

They're all sitting right behind the announcers.

To each their own

I just don't like when people over simplify something just to demean it. It would be saying watching college football would be equal to a bunch of kids running into each other for an hour, taking breaks in between.

For sure

When in the area I almost always hit the Dairy Store on Farm Ln and grab a couple extra. Don't forget a cooler and ice though!

Me too

Its the first post pn the board in the last 5 that wasn't MSU centered and it broke the MLive trend.

How dare you!

You can't call it like it is man! People here will get all sorts of pissy when you make honest statements like this!

4-5 hours

It used to be more because I would read a lot more of the board but do less of that now. To me, the main page is the best it's ever been but the content MGoBoard batting average has dipped in recent years.

"Lolz"

I know many Michigan fans will find this funny because of MSU but to me it's just another indictment of how shitty maintstream publications have become because this is normal. The slopiness in which they report and present info is amazing but not surprising given the people they hire. How the likes of Jay Mariotti, Skip Bayless, Peter King and countless others are entrusted with giving insight to anything is sad. Many write articles how I wrote term papers, last minute and using questionable internet or "anonymous sources".

There are four coaches in the playoff, it cannot be that hard to double check the names before putting their names on the cover of your publication. If you cannot do that effectively why should I drop $5 on your publication?

Not for me

I was at the 2011 OSU and 2012 MSU game and never really felt the urge to get on the field. In my opinion it's not my field, it's the players and coaches (and bands) because they're the one who put in the work to be on it while I just bought a ticket. Aside from that it just looks like chaotic and with low upside plus its a fair drop to field at Michigan Stadium. Personally I would like to see it banned because it's only a matter of time before someone assaults an opposing coach or player and things get real ugly.

Wins/Loses

I agree with the "winning the internet" argument 100%. Also objective comments regarding rivals and other subjects not seen through maize tinted glasses used to produce good discussion are now just trolled with snarky, idiotic responses.

Upper bowl?

I never understood why stadiums open the upper bowls of stadiums when the lower bowl is only 50% (or in Miamis case 25%) full. Why not just use the lower bowl to create a better atmosphere, save on cleanup costs, ushers, etc. that go with opening the upper bowl to a dozen people?

Not a real problem

The real problem on Saturday was the number of points OSU put up at will. You fix that, you fix the "too much red" issue.

Biggest stadium

Having the 3rd or 4th biggest stadium in the world helps with a legit schedule having MSU and OSU on it helps. Next year...

6-6

This program would kill for a couple 6 wins seasons. It's such a dumpster fire.

Good!

The kids seemed to respond to him pretty well and played their asses off when they could have said screw it. It's Illinois guys, Bill Cubit is a legit coach and I think the Illini did well here given their situation.

Good coach

Wrong fit for Michigan. That seems to be a bigger deal than I thought 6 years ago. I don't think a Pete Carroll wins like Dantonio at MSU or a Dantonio at USC. But when you win 75% of your games, you fit there.

+1

Might be a good fit and Maryland and I'm not being a jerk about it. That guy is about Maryland/Rutgers peak to me.

Ugh!

Shut the fuck up ESPN. You don't know shit and probably made up that Miles was out. You fucker give money to Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith which equals zero credibility.

Maybe

I've heard that before though. When MSU lost Cousins, Greg Jones and Gordon at LB. When they lost Bell. When they lost Bullough and Dennard. Yet they're in the hunt every year.

OSU is overrated

Like SEC overrated.

Well said my friend

The players who actually play the game handle losses better than many fans.

Nope

Over the years (especially this year) after suffering true losses in life I don't at all. After the MSU while still standing in the stadium I felt bad for 5 minutes and moved on. Perspective is something I have gained and getting mad at sports or "shutting down" seems really, really silly from mine. Hell, the players don't even "shut down" after a loss why should I considering how I little I have invested compared to them.

Yes to maize pants

I wouldn't mind seeing the block M back on the pants too.

Also

The fact the main card had fighters from Poland, Canada, Austrialia, Brazil, New Zealand, Netherlands, along with the USA really backs that up. It's pretty much the number two sport in Brazil after soccer and it's growing all throughout Europe but go ahead, use it as a dig against the American society.

Randy Couture vs James Toney

That to me is the textbook striker vs grappler fight. I don't think former heavyweight boxing champ Toney ever threw a punch in the fight.

It obvious that he doesn't care

He's only a multiple time woman beater who did jail time for getting caught the last time. He got caught because he beat the mother of his children in front of them. Clearly he doesn't give a shit that he is a pimple on the ass of life.

MSU/MD annoucers

When I flip to that game I'm going to have to mute it because they are just turrrrble. The color commentator makes Matt Millen look like a broadcasting God.

Nice touch by all

Often times those with the most invested in the rivalries get "it" while those with the least invested simply don't and never will.

This

From what I've understood MSU's commit policy is not that different than Michigans under Hoke. If you're taking officals, you're not commited. At the same time why not take a few free trips if you're a 17-18 year old kid and enjoy that part of recruiting now that your football season is done?

Maybe Bill O is a dick

Ryan Mallett is also a dick. A dick who was being paid very well to hold a clipboard and show up on time. I guess that was asking too much for $2.5 million.

Probably not

In most cases I would say no but at schools where womens baskteball is a revenue stream (Tennessee, UConn) I wouldn't be surprised.

Not too bad

I felt for the most part everyone, both Michigan and MSU fans were better than most years. The only really ugly thing I saw was an adult Michigan fan that was taunting a MSU kid (about 12) and his mom. He was a complete ass but was booted just about the time the flyover took place and never made it to his seat. This was the first year I didn't see any fights before, during or after the game as well.

I'm sure it's out there but I think it would be interesting to see ejections over the years and see how they vary between noon and 3:30 starts. Since Pioneer, UM Golf Course and AAG&O were full before 10:30 a lot of people had plenty of time to get stupid.

Spot on

Cardale Jones is lacking the deep threat WR's that he needs to be successful. Players like Devin Smith and to a lesser extent Evan Spencer really helped Jones become the the player he was in those last three games. I believe that OSU just increased their chances to win out quite a bit by going with JT Barrett because it will help open up lanes for Elliott and will result in more touches for Braxton Miller. To me at least, a backfield with Barrett, Elliott and Miller will offer up many options for the Buckeyes offense.

Exactly!

Couldn't agree more. We show up, tailgate, watch the game and go home. That's our "prep" and effort that we as fans put into the game.

It was a great game, one of the best Michigan games I've seen in a while. I was in EL last year and watched pretty much the same team get plastered up and down the field. So when I see a game like yesterday I see the work that the players have put in and can appreciate their effort.

This blog

This is a very, very small sample of Michigan fans. If you've ever read the comments on a Detroit news site, MLive or even the Michigan football page on Facebook you would see that Michigan fans and others are very much a like.
