Kid already has some big offers: LSU, Ole' Miss, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, and Sparty have already joined the party. I like the offer.

Hope he visits when the weather is nice.

But what does he think about the food in Ann Arbor?
November 5th, 2015 at 8:50 PM ^
He should stick with home cooking. My sister works for Zingerman's, and while they make a good sandwich, meat plus bread plus other junk should never = $14, certainly not for a college student.

As a Pioneer grad myself, I really really hope he joins this class. Love to see Pioneer kids repping the maize and blue.

UM also offered a freshman from Walton High School today. Dominick Blaylock, youngest son of Mookie Blaylock. Kid already has offers from UGA, South Carolina and Auburn. Plays for one of the top teams in the state of Georgia.

RB or LB? Looks like a damn nice prospect and that 4.55 40 looks good for the LB position.

Most schools have offered him as an athlete. My personal opinion is that he would excel as a free safety in college. Kid has a nose for the football and loves to hit.

He knows a baller when he sees them and after his staff does their due diligence in terms of what he brings other than fb skills do they receive their offers. I love him loading up on athletes because no one can find a place for them like J.H. Take Freddie, for example. Obviously, he was not going to become the receiver Hoke and Co. thought he would be. He is a great athlete though with superior speed who might yet contribute in another manner. His idea to play as many young men as possible keeps morale high and competition intense. Show him you want it, he'll give you minutes. He's building something special here.

Not just for Antjuan's sake, but because he's someone of talent as close to home as you can get for U-M. With that offer list, we just don't want this one to get away if possible.

Here's a short article regarding Pioneer's recent trouncing of Belleville, a game in which Simmons figured prominently - LINK
According to this, he rushed for 118 yards and scored 2 of Pioneer's TDs.
As a sidenote, Pioneer now goes to the district finals against my alma mater - Saline.
It's always fun to see local talent on the team - sometimes, you don't have to go all that far to live a dream, eh?

I've looked at this 5 times now, and I still cant figure out what you are trying to say.
Are you faulting Simmons somehow for just getting offered today?

Duh. I mean obviously he's not Michigan material if he didnt immediately commit on spot.

a great idea gone boom.

Like Drake Johnson did, he will benefit from a bit of technique coaching.

He said Simmons has stated that Michigan was never his dream school, and Simmons is far from a lock to come here.
Look at it from the kid's perspective: he's probably 17 years old, and since he was nine years old has seen Michigan beat MSU and OSU only once during that time, in addition to having three losing seasons and many extremely disappointing losses. You can rant and bleat about tradition till you're blue in the face and it won't mean squat to a kid who's seen little other than mediocrity laced with ineptitude until this year. Perceptions formed over eight years don't change overnight.
