Actual FB News: Utah Starting CB Arrested
Likely Utah starting cornerback Dominique Hatfield was arrested this morning for aggrevated robbery at knife point. Don't think he will play in the opener.

Where does he think he is at, Florida State???
There will be no free crabs, of any kind, for him in Utah.
In all honesty, I don't think you even needed to use the sarcasm tag. What you said was probably factual if not anything else.
I don't think he's going to be running some stairs or doing burpies for a team punishment to get out of this one.
So... the Utes are now missing their DC, OC and 2 starting CBs from last year...
Is Michigan favored yet?
They still have a senior Travis Wilson at QB, which scares me to death.
It's a good thing we have a senior Jake Rudock
True, and he's played in hostile environments before. HOWEVA, just a few weeks of actual practice in a new system and chemistry with new teammates makes that a scary thought still. This one probably should be down to about Utah -2.5 or -3 during game week.
I know what you're saying, but they practice all summer. Rudock will be fine.
Dude if Utah's favored by 3 points that's easy money. We're gonna beat the shit out of them. Yeah, they're a solid team, but we are returning a ton of talent and if this staff is half of what they purport to me then we're going to trounce them. Utah will be "solid" but that's about their ceiling. That's where they were last year and they have to replace a decent amount of talent as well as an entirely new coaching staff.
We will knock them out them kick them in the butthole.
"We will knock them out them kick them in the butthole."
I think you mean we'll put our knuckle in the center of thier asshole...

Being taunted by Utah fans in the Big House was a sick feeling. I hope you are right and that we kick their asses with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind!
Managed the game...
Passing:
Travis Wilson 14/20 172 8.6 1 0 60.9
Rushing:
Travis Wilson 8 25 3.1 0 14
from this painful looking hit. Seems like a tough dude.
seriously, that obviously couldve been so much worse. he was lucky but also a tough dude.
utah has been fielding competitive squads - should be a great opening game
JMFR, one of favorite players of the last decade.
I had witnessed a player killed on the field at that moment.
Seriously? I think Utah is a danger game but if we are fearful of the 12th best Pac 12 QB who threw for a whopping 2100 yards with a hefty average (not) of 6.9 we have a lot to fear this year. Rudock is better than Wilson IMO - and his stats in a year he got benched were better than Wilson across the board. And I dont think Rudock is all that. If we played Iowa last year I dont think anyone would walk into that saying "but they still have Rudock, hide the children."
Utah wins with defense and special teams. Their offense is an after thought 90% of the time.
Wilson had great efficiency numbers and commanded an offense that ran the ball for the most part. Me thinks you only saw Wilson play the one time, I'm not saying he is a flame thrower, but he is a good QB. For a team that had the 86th ranked defense last year I doubt the defense was an after thought.

Based on your estimates the low average for Michigan's Harbaugh team is 44.9 pts/game. The high estimate is 68.9. In other words Michigan should be somewhere between slightly better on offense than the OSU squad that won the national title last year or the greatest college football offense of all time in any division.
I like the way you think.
Nothing scares me about the Utah.
As we all know, Michigan has been mired in unbelievably poor coaching. If you compare Michigan's roster with Utah's roster then Utah shouldn't even be on the same field as Michigan, The fact that Michigan wasn't competitive with teams like that was the reason Hoke doesn't have a job today. We shouldn't have the problem with Harbaugh.
A properly prepared and coached UM team should demolish Utah and I fully expect them to. We may have fallen to depths most of us have ever seen before, but to say we shouldn't be a better team then Utah this year, is a concession I am not willing to make.
What is a Ute....
Sucks to be them.
he'd bail him out and start him.
Truth
"If this legal situation affects Hatfield’s ability to get on the field in 2015, it would have a significant impact on the Utes’ defense."
Awesome.
Not surprising... the Eagles drafted Eric Rowe who plays on the other side... so now their defense has 2 brand new CBs starting b/c of this kid's stupidity...
That sounds like a nightmare for a DC.
However, I think Canteen and Cole will make some noise come this year.
Utah could always go that route.
Yeah. It was LSU in 2011.
A few players, which included starting QB Jordan Jefferson, got in a huge bar brawl the week before the start of the college football season, got arrested, charged and were released on $5,000 bond.
Les Miles called their behavior "unacceptable" but still started them in the opener against Oregon, (who was ranked in the top 5 I believe.) He suspended them for the following week's game against Northwestern State.

Apparently he posted an ad online saying he was selling an Xbox and then when they met he pulled a knife on the guy and stole about $180 of cash from him. He was caught by the guy's wife calling Hatfield and pretending to be intersted in buying a phone he was also supposedly selling but the cops were there waiting for him when he showed up the second time.
Not very bright of course. Sounds like one of those criminals the police catch with the "You won Super Bowl tickets. Come down to our office to collect them."
Two questions posed by that.
1. Is this kid that stupid?
2. Why in the FUCK did the cops make his wife make that call? Aren't there trained department members to do stuff like that? Did the cops not think of it until she already set up the meeting?
From the article
"A short time later, the victim arranged for his wife to call Hatfield back and inquiry about buying a phone he was also selling, the report stated. They arranged to meet at the same place her husband was robbed, only this time Unified police officers were also there waiting. They watched as Hatfield walked from the apartment complex to the car wash,"
It sounds like the husband had the idea to have her call and set up the meet and then they let the cops know. If the cops had known they probably would have done it themselves. I can imagine the sense of poetic justice they felt to see him walk right into that from the exact place he just ran to from the robbery.
This is interesting, to say the least....LINK
Unified Police Chief Deputy Justin Hoyal said about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Hatfield met another man at a car wash, 655 W. 3900 South. The victim responded to an online classified ad and thought he was going to buy an X-Box, Hoyal said.
Hatfield identified himself in the ad as David Wilkins, according to a Salt Lake County Jail report. "When the victim and suspect met the suspect produced a knife and demanded the victim’s money. The victim complied and gave the suspect cash. The suspect then fled on foot," according to police.
To make it truly intriguing (and Hatfield was a fool to fall for this), the victim had his wife call Hatfield about phone he was selling, he agreed to meet at that same car wash, and sure enough, the police had been notified and were waiting for him when he walked up.
I'd bet he was the one who suggested meeting at the car wash both times. He was still listing things for sale because he was planning to pull more robberies, Allegedly of course. It wasn't the best thought out plan.
It's not that the man did not know how to juggle, he just didn't have the balls to do it.
