OT: What's Your Guiltiest Song?

Submitted by Steve Breaston… on

I feel like it's going to be a slow week for the board so thought a lighthearted Monday question was apropos: What is your Guiltiest Song? The one you would sing in your car by yourself but change the channel if anyone else was with you. The song that you would like and claim that it "came with the iPhone." For fun, try to name one Oldie and one newer song.

For me, it's gotta be:

Oldie: "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul

Newbie: "Roar" by Katy Perry

DISCUSS (but silently judge me)

featuring the Kit Kat Girls from Cabaret.   No kid s/b able to sing that well or have that kind of stage presence.  Kit Kats are over the top.

Buddy Holly - Weezer. Forgot about Dre - Dr. Dre ft. Eminem....

I realize this isn't exactly what we were going for, but I'll hear these songs once in a blue moon and they instantly put me in a better mood.

The song I still like from the 90's, which I absolutely hate to admit - Limp Bizkit's remake of the George Michael classic, Faith. I know... I know.

Royals by Lorde and also Team by Lorde and anything else by Lorde that sounds catchy. I guess I don't really feel THAT guilty about it, but maybe a little since I'm more into folk punk and hardcore and the like.

oldie... Hot Cherie -- Hardline

newer... Let's Dance -- Lady Gaga; but when I'm blasting that and singing in the car, the tinted windows are all the way up!

I'd highly recommend the AMI juke box app. You can play all your embarrassing/guilty songs at the bar without the shame of having everyone there know you went up and played Paula Abdul, TLC and color me badd. Plus it's nice to sit there and as soon as a song pops in your head you can play it right from your phone.

I cannot believe I am about to admit to these, but:

A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton

I Will Always Love You by Donna Summer

Please Forgive Me by David Gray

Toni Basil's Mickey. I never would have admitted this in the 80's, but at my age I'm not worried about being "cool" anymore. I already know I'm not. So f'it. The video always freaks me out a little, Ms. Basil looks like some kind of possessed punk rocker.

still reading this thread, but I need some perspective...I love Ed Sheeran but I don't know if I should feel guilty about it. Is it ok? Is he respectable?
