Jim Rome Slams Coach Harbaugh on the Jameis Winston Interview
This is my first post on here. With that being said Jim Rome aka A-Hole on the face of the earth slammed Coach Harbaugh on the Jameis Winston sitauation that we all seen on Draft Academy on ESPN.

Sure, the legal system declined to press charges against Winston and his university cleared him of wrongdoing in the case, but Harbaugh really still should have used a draft prep segment for Sportscenter as an opportunity to grill this guy he had never met before like a First 48 detective until he confessed to rape on national tv.

is 100% correct; there is zero chance that the attorneys for HBO, the University, or Winston would allow rape allegations to be a part of the segment/broadcast
irrelevant for about 5 years now so a really good controversy would help that. Jim Rome can go take a flying leap in Lake Michigan. Handling the media is not the same for college kids as it is for pro players. Number 2 is that the media coverage today with social media in play and exhaustive replay has to be considered and ultimately if you arent sure what to do or say then say as little as possible. Great advice from an experienced coach and thats the best advice ever.
Ok. I've never seen it on here. Do we have Jim Rome threads often or something?
What's the tool thing?

It's too bad Everrett didn't destroy this clown. I love idiots like Jim Rome. Such p***y's but act like they are the toughest guys in the world.

That gif is great. It was the moment that caused Rome to confine his "smackdowns" to people who aren't actually physically in the room. He also started sucking up to athletes a lot more in interviews after that.
Everett taught Rome a big lesson: any NFL player, even a QB, is a physical mutant compared to the average sports entertainer.
What a dick wad (both of them)
I've always thought this was staged. It put Jim Rome's name on the map and give the fledgling ESPN2 network (which then was trying to be hip and edgy) a boost.

ooooh someone is too cool to make fun of Jim Rome. What a hipster

Look at how small JR is compared to Jim Everett. He looks like a child.
The "Chrissy" incident was the original click-bait. Jim Rome is nothing but an insecure attention whore.

I've never seen the clip on here until now and I've been regularly posting/lurking for at least 7 years.

We'll never use it again.

Maybe Rome has a thing against dreamy QBs named Jim?
So while interviewing for the biggest job in your life Rome's advice would be to talk about your fuck ups as much as possible?
Jim Rome hates Michigan. Who cares what he says?
The guy shoving Rome around in the video is a QB. The way he got pushed around it looked like the guy was a big lineman

Jim Rome sounds like he didn't actually see the Draft Academy video. When they say "tight, tidy box" they don't mean to hide the incident away. That's literally opposite of what they say. In fact Fisch clearly says, the entire world knows about the incident, if he doesn't mention it would look really suspicious. All Harbaugh means is to lay the facts on the table and don't fudge around with other crap. Keep it clear. Wow did Rome miss this point of all of this.
On those rare instances when I hear Jim Rome's voice, I try to imagine a bottle of Summer's Eve with a greasy mustache and ask myself if I would take such a sight seriously. When I am forced to say, "No, likely not", I am then forced to ask why others would care to listen to someone that - like what he is - is meant to be used to irrigate an clean various orifices. So far, I have gotten many good answers to this question.
Is there any media company Rome hasn't been shitcanned from? Parker and The Man think he's played out.
For a man who lives by the mantra "have a take, don't suck..." This sucks.
Jim Rome is a nut sack. Why does he think he knows more about preparing for the NFL than Jim Harbaugh?

1. I forgot Jim Rome existed.
2. I was honestly surprised, disgusted and disappointed Harbaugh even allowed that rapist thug on campus. Let alone "mentored" him.

2.) He has never done anything violent; therefore, he isn't technically a "thug" either.

Well played, sir.

This gif is better than anything about Jim Rome ever was or shall be.
It's been awhile since we've had a "Hey guys, please click on this article that totally sucks" post.
.. being forced to listen to on the radio besides jim rome would be the paul finebaum show.

.. is the callers and their "takes." I can tolerate cowherd because I feel the callers aren't as big an element of his show... or maybe it just doesn't feel like they are to me. I feel like that's all Rome and Finebaum's shows are.
I just can't get entertained by listening to the dumbest people around sharing their dumb opinions, with a host who more often than not, is going to just turn around and mock them.

Herd is a decent ESPN radio app podcast listen. With no commercials, a 3 hour show is like an 80 minute podcast.
