With Harbaugh, how does our recruiting class round out?
I think it is fairly safe to assume Harbaugh is coming to Michigan. My question to the Mgoblaugh community is what will happen to our recruiting class now that we have Harbaugh?
I've read that Chris Clark and Rosen will now be very ineterested in Michigan. Who else has mentioned that Harbaugh would be a game changer for them?
Do you think any of our decommits will give michigan another look?

Weber: Sam Webb has hinted Very Strongly that Weber would recommit to a coach like JH.
It's going to be a wild recruiting month... in a very good way!

Wouldn't be surprised with a guy like Harbaugh that if some decommits do come crawling back that Jimmy doesn't tell a few to take a hike -- just on principle. Plus, he'll have a new crop of strong talents beating a path to his door, and there won't be room for the weaker (character?) decommits anyway.

Is that you Cardale "Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play football, we ain't come here to play school, classes are pointless" Jones.

Don't be an idiot. Saying that who the coach is is important to a football commit is not the same as saying that academics are irrelevant.

He will absolutely kill it at Michigan, he will be able to recruit nationally like no other, especially on the west coast.
He will also be able to go into Fla, Texas, Ohio, Penn and bring in guys with mega talent, this is going to be so much fun!

It's ok. Mgobloggers can be excused. It is like a car of kids waiting to get to Cedar Point, or vacation, or wherever . . . are we there yet? Is it happening? Will this affect recruiting?
I think that so many of us couldn't bear to follow recruiting any more, especially after previous recruits started dropping like flies.
I do recall (when I posted basically the same question a couple days ago) being thrilled with Iman Marshall and Chris Clark being such strong possibilities. I think this also solidifes the so-called soft commits (Cole & Kinnel.) Some of the recruiting gurus thought the ship had sailed on a few. (Hilliard.)
With regards to Weber, he has publicly stated he is firm to OSU. We'll see. I personally am interested to see what happens with Damen Harris. I'm thinking we only take one of the two given the size of the class.
Another decommit who someone thought might be interested in a recommit to Michigan is the DE Roseboro.
This class was always going to be pretty small. I don't see many current players decommiting because of Harbaugh. If Michigan got commitments next week from Marshall, Clark, a RB, Roseboro, and a surprise or two, that would go a long way to stabilizing the current recruiting class, that would go a long way toward righting the recruiting. Harbaugh and his staff would be able to focus on filling the remaining slots. With Ryan and Ferns gone, I could see adding a LB. And after Rich Rodriguez, I will always be nervous taking less than 3 on the OL.

Not so sure that Weber is solid to OSU.
This came from Rivals two days ago (not $):
"Rivals100 running back Mike Weber of Detroit Cass Tech has only been committed to Ohio State for a few weeks, but is already thinking of taking a look at some other schools."
Alabama has offered, and he is considering taking an official, apparently.

There are ~9 tickets left for the newest NFL/College Glory factory.
I'm guessing some of the decommits won't qualify.
I hold no ill will toward the decommits; decommiting was a rational thing to do. But decommitting works both ways. They gave up their guaranteed spot that honorable programs hold out for them.

I dont even care. I just forgot how much i enjoyed following an exciting college football team. Not that I stopped following Michigan games or anything...it just became hard to care abotu recruiting all that much when more and more top commits kept realizing Brady Hoke was a dope. lol
Im so pumped for Harbaugh. Obviously the games themselves will be fun, but the recruiting will be exciting again. And all the other stuff that makes college football great.

Used to follow recruiting closely, but stopped when I realized it didn't matter who we signed, the coaches were going to utterly fail in developing players regardless of their rating. Glad those days are soon to be over.

"Maybe it's confirmational bias but it appears to me that the recruits that were most interested in Hoke or committed to him are not maniacal football players but rather kids who want to be more nurtured and protected."
Never thought of the situation like this....can't really say you're right or wrong, but I think there could be something here with at least some of them.

Tate
Wheatley
Clark
Random offensive lineman
KLS
Roseboro
Random linebacker
Random corner
Random safety
And I'll be happy. That's not asking too much right?

Harbaugh as player:
Big Ten and Fiesta Bowl champion
Dropped pass away from an AFC championship
As assistant:
!-AA national champion
As head coach:
Two time Pioneer League champ with nonscholarship players
Took cellar dweller Stanford to an Orange Bowl championship
Couple questionable officiating calls away from winning Superbowl
Fact: Nick Saban won MNCs only when he had more talent than everyone else.
