His chances of being drafted when healthy were probably low, throwing is still valued in the NFL. With this latest injury, if he can't prove he can recover and play at a high level, no NFL team will touch him.

JT Barrett (redshirt freshman) is the backup, although I think he's going to be on a short leash. It's been pretty close between him and Cardale all summer.
