Countess will wear #2(!), Peppers is #5. + other freshmen numbers
Here it is!

Good for Countess. I remember the day he committed. It was around the time I really started getting into the recruiting side of things.
Freshmen numbers for those who will be on campus now-
- #5 Jabrill Peppers
- #19 Jared Wangler
- #54 Brady Pallante
- #58 Chase Winovich
- #59 Noah Furbush
- #76 Juwann Bushell-Beatty
- #85 Maurice Ways
- #93 Lawrence Marshall
- #94 Ian Bunting
- incoming tranfer Ty Isaac will wear #32. The number he wore in HS.
Is anybody else having trouble breathing?
because I just KNEW Peppers would be the next Charles Woodson - NOT Blake Countess!
/s - for all the comparisons to one of the greatest college football players ever to don the Maize and Blue.
Try a claritin.
If Peppers does get some run on offense and in the return game it won't be at the same time as Justice Hayes. Interesting. Wasn't he something of an ST guy last season?
If Peppers works himself into a role on offense or special teams, changing numbers is easy. That would be the absolute last thing stopping him from getting on the field.
Is Drake Harris still hurt?
and he has #14
Yup, I seen his name but was just wondering because it seems like they were still being cautious with him during the spring practices.
Go to hell.
thinking of Drake Johnson, RB. Time will tell, he did not make an appearance at the spring scrimmage.
Drake Harris has a hamstring issue, but is supposed to be fine for fall, last I heard.
I had forgotten about that. As I recall he reaggrivated it during spring practice.
DeVeon Smith back to #4.
Ty Issac to wear #32....listed as a soph. (Is this because he can still be red shirted from there?)
Only other point of interest was "Sanford Robertson Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach" Doug Nussmeier. I knew about the Ira and Nicki Harris Head Football Coach....but I didnt know the OC had that too lol
FWIW, De'Veon switched back to #4 in the spring.
Yes Isaac can redshirt as a sophomore.
you can redshirt any year i believe, doesnt matter if you are still an underclassman or not
There are people on this blog who will say otherwise, but they are wrong, damn them! Seriously, though, Kelly Olynyk - Gonzaga MBB player - redshirted his third year on campus, and he wasn't hurt.
you reading this wrong?
No. | Name | Pos. | Ht. | Wt. | Elig. | Hometown (High School) |
---|
94 | Ian Bunting | TE | 6-7 | 223 | FR | Hinsdale, Ill. (Hinsdale Central HS) |
His post was two separate points, although I can see why it was a little confusing. Consider it this way:
No [one is wearing] #77.
Ian Bunting has an interesting # for a TE.
my apologies previously maligned good sir!
"Don't you go forgetting about me though!"
As is my # 32!
As isn't my 37 :'(
my #1 jersey is relevant again...
Funchess will wear it if he returns for his senior year...if not this year to be announced the week before opening day.
After how he got toasted against Tyler Lockett...I wouldn't quite give it to him
Rich Rod for that.
/s
id blame that more on the shitty defense gameplan they had that game.. 10-15 yard cushions against one of the better WR in the Big 12.. good call mattison
I also don't like 94 for a TE, unless they are larger, heavier, mostly blocking types. He'll look kind of funny being tall and lanky.
My guess is that his number won't be that significant, as he will redshirt. When it's time for him to actually play, he will have a more appropriate number, I would think.
At the rate the #2 jersey for a CB and the #1 for a WR are going, not even the 2nd coming of Charles Woodson or Braylon Edwards would be able to wear their own jerseys again. Ime, just let people wear the stupid numbers.
