Good for Countess. I remember the day he committed. It was around the time I really started getting into the recruiting side of things.

Freshmen numbers for those who will be on campus now-

  • #5 Jabrill Peppers
  • #19 Jared Wangler
  • #54 Brady Pallante
  • #58 Chase Winovich
  • #59 Noah Furbush
  • #76 Juwann Bushell-Beatty
  • #85 Maurice Ways
  • #93 Lawrence Marshall
  • #94 Ian Bunting
  • incoming tranfer Ty Isaac will wear #32. The number he wore in HS.

If Peppers does get some run on offense and in the return game it won't be at the same time as Justice Hayes.  Interesting.  Wasn't he something of an ST guy last season?

I find this the most noteworthy thing of the numbers...and completely bizarre. Im not sure why you would tie your hands like that. Hayes should see a decent amount of playing time this year so it makes it near impossible to get Jabrill on the field on offense. Not that it ws likely..but why would you do this. Also, the special teams impact is strange as I believe Hayes was out there some. Offsetting this is the fact that they can easily change their numbers during the year (as we've seen often with the legends numbers). im sure Jabrill would be open to a change if they said he could see the field on offense for a few plays if he switches numbers for the rest of the season.

DeVeon Smith back to #4.

Ty Issac to wear #32....listed as a soph. (Is this because he can still be red shirted from there?)

Only other point of interest was "Sanford Robertson Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach" Doug Nussmeier. I knew about the Ira and Nicki Harris Head Football Coach....but I didnt know the OC had that too lol

His post was two separate points, although I can see why it was a little confusing.  Consider it this way:

No [one is wearing] #77.

Ian Bunting has an interesting # for a TE.
