If you believe the story his mom and and he tell, he literally moved to AA and we ghosted him
Thought Dudek lied to him and told him he could enroll early when there was no EE spot available.
Yeah but the gist i got from the story was that because he couldn't enroll, Xavier was left out to dry... Which to me is insane. Even if he doesn't enroll, surely we can buy him a cheeseburger. Oh wait. Only Lambos, hookers and blow.
Anyway, we screwed that it up, it appears. But it worked out
Interesting that two of the first guys to run out there and congratulate him were JJ and Roman.
4.22 for Worthy..holy shit...he has some skinny ass legs too
I believe that ties the all-time record
Imagine if he stayed Blue.... We probably would have won the national championship.
Would've been fun to see either Xavier or the Oregon WR Troy Franklin running routes for JJ at UM.
Thanks admissions. Could have had the fastest guy in the history of the NFL combine the last 3 years. Worthy 4.22
Didn't need him.
What was Romans second run time. Can someone post?
4.40 & 4.41 were Roman's run times
Edit: The adjusted computer time was 4.39
I believe 4.40
Adjusted down to 4.39 for official time.
Based on his dropping 2 balls in the Gauntlet and running out of bounds, it seems he might be disappointed with that. Imagine being disappointed at only running a 4.39.
Worthy’s official time… 4.21
Wow..they just made it an official 4.21 for Worthy..a record.
They had Bolt run it as a stunt at a Super Bowl...4.22. (He started less quickly and built up insane power in the back half of the 100m, but still)
Yeah! I mean maybe we could have won a national championship fgs!
Roman’s official…4.39
Not ideal. Not bad, but he should have put up a better time.
I wish we could somewhat objectively rate our own today.
Roman is small so he needed to have an exceptional 40 time and he didn’t. He also needed to showcase his hands And he didn’t. Lastly he needed to demonstrate his route running ability and he unfortunately ran out of bounds.
Love Roman but as much as Mickey improved his draft stock yesterday Roman hurts his. That’s just a fact guys and the fact that he was instrumental in our winning a national championship doesn’t change that.
Agreed, not his best day.
Hopefully he blows them away at his pro day in Ann Arbor.
Who is Mickey?
Sainistril
lol…I figured. Just being dumb. I thought it was Mikey…
C’mong
Roman had the 6th fastest 40 of all WRs lol. I’m sure Roman was disappointed in his time (we know what his goal was) but saying a 4.39 isn’t exceptional is ridiculous. That’s an elite 40. Overall it wasn’t his best day but he did a lot of great things as well. I’d put it as a B performance. Many of the analysts I’ve heard post combine have had nothing but great things to say about Roman. He had a solid day.
Gotta say I don't buy the Xavier Worthy 40 time. Kid is fast but all-time? Damn. I'm being mostly facetious but truly, who the hell saw that coming?!
Like in the Rose Bowl?
I would’ve loved to have seen Worthy in JJ and Joe’s group
That's a damn good time for Blake
Joe Milton showed off the arm strength with a perfect 70 yarder. Someone is going to reach and draft him high, like Anthony Richardson.
And someone is going to regret that decision.
Arm strength is such an overrated metric for QB's. I really do wish him the best of luck in the NFL, but I just don't think he's gonna be a good NFL player.
Blake Corum elevated his stock this combine. He did what he needed to do in the testing and didn't fall flat anywhere.
Then I read he was really impressive in the drills portion of the combine. He looked smooth running routes and snagging throws out of the air. Then his footwork through the LoS really impressed scouts. With this RB class I think Blake may have just made himself a 3rd rounder.
