I got neg banged in the other thread for saying this was happening…
December 5th, 2022 at 1:04 PM ^
Because you can’t say things people don’t want to hear.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:40 PM ^
This the only reason for your negatives. If you said you heard rumors that D’Shawn Hand was committing, you would have had 200 upvotes and your username would become recognized as a famous MGoBlog insider. And all these long time posters know better.

Brussels sprouts taste terrible.
December 5th, 2022 at 2:46 PM ^
Cut them in half, caramelize them face down with some crushed garlic in olive oil in a cast iron skillet until dark. Remove from skillet, toss with salt and pepper and throw into a baking dish and bake at 400°for about 15-20 mins (you can leave in the cast iron if you're only making one serving).
You're welcome. You like Brussel sprouts now.
December 5th, 2022 at 2:52 PM ^
I discovered this about ten years ago and it changed my life.
December 5th, 2022 at 2:58 PM ^
They started breeding them to taste better. It's not like people figured out that frying and salting shit makes it taste good a decade ago.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:22 PM ^
That would explain why I first came across it later in life. But armed with this information, I should probably see what they taste like steamed. Maybe not too bad, eh?
December 5th, 2022 at 3:38 PM ^
Brusseldoodles
December 5th, 2022 at 7:47 PM ^
I discovered brussel sprouts prepared this way just a couple years ago at a local restaurant.
Until then this was one of very few veggies I refused. Now? Can't get enough of 'em!
December 5th, 2022 at 3:03 PM ^
Sub the olive oil with bacon grease.
You're welcome.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:12 PM ^
Had them cooked in goose fat once. Amazing.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:41 PM ^
I save the bacon grease in the skillet for when the stars align and I have sprouts on hand. Usually though I fry my hashbrowns in the bacon grease and there's none leftover.
December 5th, 2022 at 4:07 PM ^
And sprinkle with balsamic vinegar before final caramelization.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:28 PM ^
add some bacon and then they taste great.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:48 PM ^
my recipe is butter, olive oil, walnut oil, and a dazzle of roasted pumpkin seed oil, turn side after 10 min and leave them on the skillet for another 10 min.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:50 PM ^
Damn, I'll just rinse raw spinach and eat that instead.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:58 PM ^
In summary, making them not taste like Brussel sprouts makes them taste better.
December 5th, 2022 at 4:04 PM ^
Still disgusting. Only now you've wasted garlic and olive oil. Can't count the number of ways people have had me try them because "they're delicious like this". They still taste like Brussels sprouts.
December 5th, 2022 at 4:58 PM ^
you forgot the bacon
December 6th, 2022 at 12:32 AM ^
And I still think they taste terrible cooked this way, smell nasty while being cooked too. Makes them edible for a lot of others though.
December 6th, 2022 at 9:00 AM ^
Logged in to upvote. Started using a version of this technique years ago, and it promoted brussells sprouts to the Top Tier in our household vegetable lineup, though I go 425.
There are very few things that don't get awesome after roasting at 425.

Direct quote from Erick All's twitter:
Wolverine nation〽️ Love you guys but it’s time for me to move on. I know some of you are wondering why I would leave and the answer to that question is unexpected. Not everything/everyone are what they seem and I learned that from my time here at Michigan. Sometimes you have to let go and do what’s best for you and your family. Love you guys. Go Blue

"Not everything/everyone are what they seem and I learned that from my time here at Michigan."
What the hell does this mean? Who or what is he referring to?
December 5th, 2022 at 3:06 PM ^
Completely unnecessary to call people out Erick. Don't lob a grenade and run away. Just say your thankyous and do what you gotta do. Of course my first thought is this must be directed at the head of the program right?!?
December 5th, 2022 at 4:07 PM ^
Eric was at the OSU game, and I thought I also saw him at the Championship game. So this probably has nothing to do with the football coaches. UM's medical team likely advised him to do the surgery, but now they will not clear him to play. We will see if he is well enough to play. The medical staff of wherever he ends up will have something to say about this. I hope he recovers fully and plays.
December 5th, 2022 at 5:03 PM ^
Ok fine maybe this is about the medical staff:
"Not everything/everyone are what they seem and I learned that from my time here at Michigan."
However, why say "I learned that from my time here..." as if this was something discovered over a long period of time not the short period of a season that he was injured in.
December 5th, 2022 at 5:09 PM ^
Good question, and only Eric knows the answer to that. All I remember is seeing him at those two games on the sideline interacting with players. I did not see if he was interacting with coaches too.
December 6th, 2022 at 9:25 AM ^
I would say “call out people, or don’t”. If you’re pissed enough to go public, be specific and name names. If you’re not going to be clear and open, stay quiet.
The vague gossipy dark hints are the worst.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:58 PM ^
Right? If he wants to leave, I'd just wish him luck and say thanks for his contributions. But ambiguous shit like that is infuriating. Just say what you mean, dude.
December 5th, 2022 at 8:57 PM ^
It means he’s a 20 something young man who still hasn’t quite grasped the concept that whatever you put out in the wifi is there forever. I get it, he’s pissed about something, but this tweet will be deciphered whether it’s the pros or a job interview. What he’s pissed about? I have no idea….maybe Colston?
December 6th, 2022 at 12:36 AM ^
He insisted on surgery when UM doctors said it wasnt necessary and instead of using one of the surgeons they suggested he get a 2nd opinion with he ran off to some podunk clinic and got it done on the sly. He assumed Harbaugh would be able to convince UM to clear him because he and All are bros but UM wouldn't and Harbaugh has no power to do anything about it. So he's blaming Harbaugh for his dumbass choices.
December 5th, 2022 at 5:47 PM ^
Seems to have a rather large chip on his shoulder.
December 5th, 2022 at 6:12 PM ^
New MGoTeeshirt?
'I got neg-banged to Bolivia...'
Bang me if this has been suggested before. I was too lazy to search past threads. Oh, did y'All hear about Cade?

December 5th, 2022 at 1:04 PM ^
I believe the negs were for your comment being unsourced.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:06 PM ^
I’m not a reporter lol and this isn’t a mainstream publication. I was just saying what I had seen.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:09 PM ^
Regardless, that is the reason. There is a qualitative difference between your comment in the other thread and this thread's OP.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:14 PM ^
He hadn’t announced it yet…so that’s why there wasn’t anything to source.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:27 PM ^
Which is exactly why you got negged.
December 5th, 2022 at 5:11 PM ^
That’s not really accurate. History has proven that many people believe a bull shitter, who has no sources or facts, when that BSer tells them something they want to hear that is emotionally satisfying. This is not political, because we had two bloggers on here that were incredibly popular that used that exact technique: RollDamnTide and UMBig11. They never had a source and upvotes came flying in.
On the other hand, it’s normal for posters, or people on social media for that matter, to get negged (and get haters) if they provide information that is true but we don’t want to hear it.
One difference between the two is that the liar usually works a lot harder to be believed. Sometimes that means they go into a lot more detail.
Finally, we all want to view ourselves as smart and that we base our decisions on facts and data. But 80% of the time thats not true and people make emotional decisions. Successful sales people know this.
December 5th, 2022 at 6:13 PM ^
Here are the MGoMath equations then, I think:
1) Popular claim + source = beaucoup upvotes
2) Popular claim + credibility but unsourced = upvotes (sometimes beaucoup)
3) Popular claim + baseless = neutral or upvotes
4) Unpopular claim + source = modest upvotes
5) Unpopular claim + credibility but unsourced = downvotes
6) Unpopular claim + baseless = Bolivia
December 6th, 2022 at 9:29 AM ^
This was a very specific kind of unsourced bad news though: speculation about a current player transferring. There used to be a straight up ban on doing that here, and it’s still generally considered bad form.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:34 PM ^
Hey, man - the points don’t matter. If you care about them, follow the advice; otherwise, carry on
December 5th, 2022 at 1:17 PM ^
It’s a fan blog, not news reporting that should theoretically be appropriately sourced. All he said was that he’d heard “rumblings.” Someone else agreed. He was obviously correct.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:23 PM ^
Yeah, I don't care about that "I'm not a professional reporter" excuse; the only standard being held to is not being an irresponsible jackass. Spreading rumors isn't appropriate at social functions, either, whether or not they're correct. Back up your stories or you will get the reception you deserve, wherever and whatever you are.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:33 PM ^
Perhaps, he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night?
December 5th, 2022 at 1:37 PM ^
+1 Underrated
December 5th, 2022 at 1:42 PM ^
For every message board dude who posts unsubstantiated "rumblings" they're hearing from people who would know and ends up being correct, there is another instance where someone posts the "rumblings" he's hearing and it turns out he's accidentally fanning the flames of fake rumors started by a certain Michigan sports "media" guy whose name earns you an MGoBlog insta-ban because his rumors cause David Ablauf to have to send a letter to the concerned parents of our players and recruits reminding them that the guy in question is a fraud.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:53 PM ^
I often hear rumblings from my stomach. I will begin reporting them here, but will of course label them OT.
December 5th, 2022 at 7:00 PM ^
Don't forget to add SIAP!
