But haven't you heard? It…

But haven't you heard? It takes an act of Congress and years of planning to be able to change your signs

If Instagram doesn't work,…

If Instagram doesn't work, let's see if this video embed works. Sainristil's second video is hilarious though, it's Harbaugh staring intensely at Mike for 10 seconds as he gets tatted

One of them is the standard…

One of them is the standard ring that the CFP always gives to the winning school. The other is a national championship ring that Michigan designed themselves and has their team sayings on it ("BET," "Who's got it better than us?", "Those who stay will be champions"). See links below for an overview of all four and then the CFP page talking about the CFP ring.

They all look so good though, especially the Rose Bowl ring.

This isn't the first time…

This isn't the first time either. Last fall, Corum and Mike Hart were both singing praises for Ben Hall:

Soon they'll hit the real…

Soon they'll hit the real target of $452,342.27.

But I say: with enough time, force of will, Tom Brady shoutouts, and a troll marketing campaign designed to infuriate terminally online Buckeyes, the money cannon can eventually reach the ultimate goal of $3,024,452,342.27

Jim already driving the NFL…

Jim already driving the NFL guys nuts is hilarious. I don't understand what it is about him that makes people lose their minds in suspicion and paranoia. It's obvious that his praise for JJ is not a recent thing to game the NFL draft, he was calling JJ a generational quarterback last summer and spent the whole season calling him the best QB in Michigan history

Not only do they have a big…

Not only do they have a big hole to fill at WR, but another thing to consider is that Harbaugh played with Marvin Harrison Sr. for a couple years with the Colts. Harrison caught the first TD of his career from Jim Harbaugh. Jim loves those kinds of football stories, I bet he is all in on drafting MHJ

It boggles the mind that…

It boggles the mind that someone can presumably watch Donovan Edwards duo Ohio State to death with ONE HAND, slalom through Purdue defenders with one hand en route to leading a Big Ten championship, duo Washington to death twice in the national championship, and then say with a straight face that Edwards can't be a good between-the-tackles runner

It really sucks and hurts…

It really sucks and hurts that it didn't work out and got ugly over the last two years. I hope that one day we can see him back at Crisler with the rest of the Fab Five, where we can remember him for his success as a player and the success he had in his first couple seasons as a coach. I'll also never forget that iconic 2021 moment when Juwan was the first person to run out and embrace Jim Harbaugh and celebrate him taking down Ohio State in the Michigan Stadium snow.

Harbaugh also went to…

Harbaugh also went to Hillary Clinton's rally in Ann Arbor in 2016. I remember it because Obama gave him a shoutout during his speech for being 9-0 right before we got Kinnicked by Iowa's punter.

He's personally staunchly opposed to abortion which is why people may think he's aligned with certain people about everything, but as you said, in usual Harbaugh fashion, he sticks to his values on specific topics and doesn't care about being labeled into one category or another.

Is it just me or does this…

It feels crazy for an FBS team to not have this all settled way in advance (outside of a disaster situation), let alone a Big Ten team. I can't imagine the meltdown we would all have if the Big House was torn down for a replacement and then Michigan was like "Alright we're tearing it down now, home games will be played... somewhere, idk, we'll figure it out later lol"

He's a grad student who has…

He's a grad student who has played for Michigan for 5 years. Do we know if he would have a scholarship here next year? There's a possibility that the Michigan football and/or baseball team has given him a firm handshake and thanked him for his time and said it's time to move on, but he wants to keep playing sports so he's moving back to his hometown to be able to do that. This really doesn't seem like an issue to me

It was pretty much all…

It was pretty much all because Mahomes blew up the league in 2018 so some NFL teams were like "let's see if his college coach can turn our QB into a prodigy too"

The first time I opened that…

The first time I opened that 360 view gigapixel picture and zoomed in on a random spot, Seth was the first person I saw. It was a weird moment of serendipity

Yeah but Harbaugh only…

Yeah but Harbaugh only correctly answers questions like 10% of the time lol

Alternatively: "So loyal…

Alternatively: "So loyal that he gives priority opportunities to fellow Michigan coaches who want to advance in their careers and try a new challenge."

Minter and Jay aren't being kidnapped by Jim. Selfishly discouraging coaches who feel they've accomplished their mission at Michigan from trying something else or actively impeding them from following their goals so they can stay here would be pretty un-cool of Michigan

I hope Warde just hires…

I hope Warde just hires Sherrone immediately and spares poor overworked Brian and Seth from a coaching search saga

I knew the basketball team…

I knew the basketball team was bad, but I didn't realize it was "last place in the Big Ten" bad. Damn

Cornelius Johnson had a…

Cornelius Johnson had a bunch of super clutch catches late in the season, including a handful of sideline toe-drag 3rd down conversions. None of them were super flashy and didn't gain a lot of yards but were very important for extending drives. I'm going to have to go with one of those plays from the most underrated player on the team.

I am bracing for the…

I am bracing for the possibility of a future without Olivia Munn. Thoughts and prayers are needed.

LOL at the lady ripping up…

LOL at the lady ripping up the "Penix + Balls = Touchdowns" sign

How did you find this info?…

How did you find this info? I have an uncle who would love to go to an event like this so I'd like to see if there will be one near him, but Google is coming up empty trying to find a schedule of the trophy tour

Yeah that one. They're…

Yeah that one. They're selling those posters of the front page but they're a few inches smaller than the newspaper print copy so it's not quite the same

I have been ordering print…

I have been ordering print copies of the Michigan Daily newspaper commemorating all our wins against Ohio State, Big Ten championships, and bowl wins. My favorite by far is their Rose Bowl "Roses are Blue" front page, but they said they're not making print copies of it!! I am very sad.

Speaking of staff members…

Speaking of staff members getting rings, did anyone catch any good pictures of Denard celebrating the championship win? Any pics of him celebrating with Mike Hart would be even better, and the both of them with Blake Corum would be perfection

These guys will be legends…

These guys will be legends forever. Many moons from now we will tell our grandkids the story of Blake the Great and Mikey Sainristil for the 1000th time. In 50 years they will be brought out onto the Big House field at the beginning of a September noon game and get a standing ovation from a crowd that is mostly all too young to have witnessed their glory. Denard Robinson Cook Jr. and Seth M Fisher III will write stories about them to fill content on MGoBlog for some slow summer day in the future. Murals painted across Ann Arbor will bear the faces of Team 144 for generations.

Heroes, all of them.

This was the most Harbaugh…

This was the most Harbaugh thing I've ever heard. He stresses other teams because he has our team huddle to call plays

Omg, I can see all of…

Omg, I can see all of Alabama's coaches on the sideline! Their signs!!! Quick, someone call the SEC commissioner, Bama's players are now IN DANGER!!!

It seems like some teams…

It seems like some teams have been getting big recruiting boosts from focusing on NIL, but that comes with the tradeoff of roster chaos and turnover down the line. I imagine that practicing the same plays with the same teammates for 3 years and building a strong chemistry with each other over that time has been a huge contributing factor for Michigan players becoming so good and allowing them to master their assignments and understand what each teammate is doing to win a play.

If we win on Monday,…

If we win on Monday, Harbaugh can do whatever he wants for all I care. He can ride off into the sunset or jump back to the NFL and go out on top as a Michigan legend forever. Warde's "believe me, we're trying" response about the contract situation, Harbaugh's noncommittal "I'm looking forward to a happy flight home" response when asked what his future holds, and potential NCAA punishments hanging over his head all point to him seriously considering an NFL job again.

Washington is definitely…

Washington definitely has a good chance of winning the game, but man, the salty comments from extremely butthurt Big Ten coaches continues to be a great source of entertainment. I think it's because the way this Michigan team is built is exactly what they dream about for their own teams: lots of 3-star players developed into excellent leaders instead of having to out-recruit Ohio State to be successful, and a punishing run-first offense

"Saban ran into a buzzsaw."…

"Saban ran into a buzzsaw." Imagine if at this time 3 years ago someone came from the future and told you that sentence was referring to Michigan

I actually think it's more…

I actually think it's more likely to be a PAC coach who can't fathom how an offense could be successful without passing 40 times a game, and hasn't watched Michigan all year so they're under the false impression that we still use an old school offense from 1995

Apparently during pre-game…

Apparently during pre-game warmups the Alabama O-line walked through Michigan's sideline as some kind of intimidation tactic. A ton of Michigan players posted about it in their Instagram stories after the game but I haven't heard much about it in the aftermath.

I also saw a video where Kool-Aid Mckinstry was like 10 yards away from our wide receivers as they did their warmup drills and he just stood there staring them down for a while.

ALSO also, I saw a few Michigan players share this video after the game, I guess they didn't like this either: https://twitter.com/vidztc/status/1741227543875793275?s=46&t=aulCDAoLdCzZYqFXYqFLHQ

Interesting, thanks for the…

Interesting, thanks for the clarification. I didn't notice him but I made my comment because a bunch of players posted pictures of their immediate post-game celebrations. In the pics everyone was still on the field in full uniform celebrating with the confetti and all that but McBurrows was in normal clothes in all of them. So either he got hurt and left the game early or else he ran off and changed super quick before everyone else got off the field

Another thing to keep an eye…

Another thing to keep an eye out for: Sam Webb posted on Twitter that Mason Graham was limping for most of the 2nd half. Also, while he wasn't on the injury report from what I remember, it looked like McBurrows wasn't suited up for the game

According to SP+, Washington…

According to SP+, Washington's defense is worse than Minnesota and about equivalent to Michigan State (#44 vs. #45). I know SP+ is kind of a gold standard in many places but I just flat out refuse to believe that a team could win 14 games if their defense is only as good as Staee's

I saw a Mike Sainristil…

I saw a Mike Sainristil career highlight reel recently, and watching him carving up Notre Dame's defense catching passes from Shea Patterson and Dylan McCaffrey, with Zach Charbonnet running around on screen, felt extremely surreal

Alabama's 288 total yards…

Alabama's 288 total yards was their lowest total yardage in a game in SIX YEARS. And they still beat Clemson 24-6 in that previous low-yardage game

There have certainly been a…

There have certainly been a number of strange disagreements between the Michigan sports medical staff and the players' second opinion doctors over the last few years. Cade, Erick All, and St. Juste all immediately come to mind on top of this one. I'm not informed enough to speculate further but it's bizarre. And it's not a good look when the head basketball coach doesn't trust his own program's medical staff with his son's injury

Haven't had a chance to…

Edit: deleted my comment because I thought it was talking about football vs. Iowa lol. Damn basketball encroaching on football season!

I'm starting to believe the…

I'm starting to believe the theory that if the football team and basketball team are both good at the same time it will break the laws of thermodynamics. We need our top scientists to investigate this phenomenon.

I feel like in the era of…

I feel like in the era of NIL it's much harder for Michigan to compete for 5 stars and top players in basketball than it is even for football

Yup, that's how I feel…

Yup, that's how I feel. Juwan's tenure as coach started really well. A big root cause of the team's issues is terrible roster management over the last few years, and Michigan has at best been unhelpful and at worst actively harmful to Juwan on that front

In the past he said he…

In the past he said he simply loves coaching the WR position so he has no interest in doing anything other than being a WR coach forever. But I think after he became the OC this year he's made some comments about how his interests have grown and now he would love to be a head coach, but only for an opportunity that has a good shot at a national championship or a Super Bowl.

What can we do to get some NFL teams to come knocking on his door? Come on Bears, go convince him it would be fun to team up with Fields again

I disagree about the game…

I disagree about the game management. Against PSU and OSU I generally thought the clock management was good, 4th down decisions were all good and gutsy, he threw in some well times trick plays, adjusted well to what was going on in-game, and found ways to win against two top-5 defenses. How many Michigan teams in the past, even  Harbaugh teams, would have persevered and found a way to win when the opposing defense was dominating our tackles and completely tying one hand behind the offense's back, or when JTT is single handedly destroying every run play where he's not a focus of attention?

I agree with you in general,…

I agree with you in general, that blue bloods should look for proven winning HEAD coaches. As there's a lot more that goes into being a head coach than other positions.

But I can see the reason for optimism. Moore has been on a bright track. He was a good TE coach, he has been a good OC, he has been an outstanding OL coach, and the players all love him. And that's to say nothing of how many responsibilities he's balanced amid the Harbaugh suspensions.

Also, even though Harbaugh was the leader in charge that built the team to where they were at the time of the game, Sherrone called incredible games at PSU and against OSU. All the cards were stacked against him at PSU - finding out mere hours in advance that he would be head coach, a crowd so loud that our offense couldn't hear the snap count, DEs that were destroying our tackles and getting JJ killed and required him to scrap things and make big adjustments mid-game. And yet he stuck to what he thought would work, and wasn't afraid to run the ball 30 times straight if that's what it took to win. The in-game play calls against PSU and OSU were all Sherrone and I think they were all gutsy and good decisions, with minimal disruptions or bone headed timeouts in the heat of the moment. Those are all very positive signs, not to mention Harbaugh has been saying for a long time that he thinks Moore is more than ready to be a head coach.

I haven't watched him at all…

I haven't watched him at all so I have no opinion, but the graph Brian shared on Twitter yesterday of ESPN QBR vs. EPA/play for all P5 QBs was real rough. As in, Dante Moore was quite a bit lower than Katin Houser and Heinrich Haarberg. Like, better-than-only-Deacon-Hill bad.

I would just embed the image of it here but I can't figure out how to do that without the site timing out on me

Leaving out Texas in favor…

Leaving out Texas in favor of a 2-loss Alabama team that lost to Texas by 10 points AT ALABAMA would have been just as obscene as what happened to FSU

I can't find the exact…

I can't find the exact numbers leading up to the TCU game, but Brian's preview said Michigan was favored by 9 points over TCU per SP+.

The only actual SP+ rankings I can find are the final rankings after the national championship, where it says Georgia won by so much that the entire SEC rose in the rankings and everyone else fell. Michigan ended at #3 and TCU #8 per SP+, so I assume both were ranked higher before the CFP started. This year Michigan is currently #1 to SP+ and Alabama is #7.
