This will be the repository for hot take regarding the offensive performance in the BTCG.

Felt like they were going to lean on the run despite knowing Purdue was going to sell out to stop it. It worked eventually, but there were some frustrating series where the numbers just didn't give any chance of success. Seemed like play action was there way more than we tried it. End of the day, the run game broke through and was enough to win comfortably.

Also, need to work some wrinkles for the JJ runs/zone reads. Having him run laterally trying to get the edge isn't working.

JJ is still up and down. He did make some very good throws. But, apart from the interception, he missed Bell deep when he was wide open by sending a laser with virtually no arc, missed Wilson on the almost catch that was overturned when Wilson was wide open and missed Bell when he was again wide open by throwing the ball into the ground at his feet two plays before Bell made the great catch in the endzone. Last week, it looked like he had learned that it is better to make a good enough throw to a wide open receiver than to try to make one that is "perfect," but he seemed to unlearn that lesson during the past week.

I’ve got news for you: even the best quarterbacks miss throws occasionally (and, no, I’m not saying that JJ is one of the best quarterbacks yet).  Perfection is an unreasonable standard.

Incidentally, this — not some pigheaded devotion to Bo — is why the offense is built the way that it is.  Running is generally lower-variance than passing.

It was great to see the offense chugging along as usual. Edwards had a terrific game and his MVP was well deserved. A few off-target or dropped balls hurt the passing game, and I would like to see more passes completed to wide receivers (only 1 pass completed to a non-Bell WR).

But they made the plays when they needed to, and if it ain't broken - don't fix it.

JJ took another step this week, he threw some lasers out there.  One bad play where he became freshmen JJ for a moment.

7 offensive linemen and 2 tight ends and converted LB at RB to finish the game.  Win with cruelty.

JJ has NFL wheels. He learned a lesson on his INT.

Mullings at RB was interesting. No Stokes or Gash? Blake is a big hole in my heart, but the team keeps moving.

I'm looking forward to the UFR, but Olu looked good, and Loveland made some blocks.

If it's Michael Barrett for President, then it's Kalel Mullings for VP, for sure. He's not to Barrett level yet, but he did show last night that he can win Connect Four in three-and-a-half moves.

Several NICE throws from JJ, and clearly a bit more trusting in the playcalling. The INT is going to happen from time to time and I don't care. Keep calling, and executing the downfield plays. The seam throw to Schoon was great.

What can you say about the OL and The Don? Excellent performances on the big stage.

Two games and one goal left. Let's do this.

JJ throwing only 17 passes in this game is unbelievable to me when I reviewed the stats... Watching it live I felt like he was pushing 250 yards on 25+ passing attempts. Reason: made the most of the throws he was given I was screaming at TV when we threw a pass on the LOS on second down. Our down field success rate was very good in this game. JJ grew as a passer in this game and then was feeling himself on the INT. Happens to all the great ones but that is a decision issue not a throw issue. He has to know we aren't taking that chance in this situation which guessing that is what Sherrone and Coach Harbaugh is saying as he comes off the field. For all the extending of plays all year JJ has been terrific in protecting the ball IMO. The TD to Schoon is exactly why JJ is the starting QB at Michigan and McNamara (Legend) is heading to Iowa. A lot of Big Ten QB's eat a sack on that play! My gosh is he going to be a handful next season!
