Sean Payton tests positive.
I honestly at this point don’t see how the NHL and NBA are going to be able to finish their seasons. It’s also getting to the point where MLB is looking more and more doubtful it’ll play at all.
He apparently got it attending a fucking horse race last week in Arkansas because it was IMPORTANT he attend that horse race (who cares about the thousands of warnings he and everyone there ignored)
So this proves it's not just the 20 something spring breakers who are complete idiots, my generation has quite a few too. Yesterday a Facebook group my wife is in ran a poll on if people were still planning on going somewhere on spring break next week. About 1/3 said no, 1/3 said they weren't sure and 1/3 said yes. It blows my mind that 2/3 of the families in my area think taking a trip right now is a viable idea.
The average American is about as smart as boiled cabbage. We're fucking doomed.
More likely he was already infected and spread it there.
You're probably right.
Which is exponentially worse.
The race was closed to the public so hopefully he didn’t come into contact with too many people.
Idiocracy is a documentary from the future.
I had not considered that until just now. You are absolutely right-we should come out the other side of this with a radically more intelligent human gene pool.
In that case, we should encourage dumb people to go out and gather in large parties. Host Fuck COVID parties in every city and town!

We don't have to, it's called Spring Break.
Except that most of the people likely to die have already done the bulk of their reproducing.
SMH at this video.
“If I get corona, I get corona. At the end of the day, I'm not gonna let it stop me from partying”: Spring breakers are still flocking to Miami, despite coronavirus warnings. https://t.co/KoYKI8zNDH pic.twitter.com/rfPfea1LrC

And you know what? They'll probably recover just fine from it.
The issue is that they may pass it on to somebody who might not, like a grandparent or relative with COPD.
That's the upside and downside to this virus: yeah, you'll probably be fine if you're in decent health (and new stats indicate almost 95% of the cases are mild). But think of other people who might not be.

There are numbers coming out that show while younger people don't generally die, their risk for needing to be hospitalized is not all that drastically reduced compared to older people. Hopefully some people start seeing the light based on the new findings.

It’s almost like college students, by and large, are a bunch of irresponsible morons.
He should not have said that to the camera. He will be found out. I'm confident some form of justice will be administered.
The worst thing is that this jagoff is partying in Florida of all places.
If the virus gets bad in Florida, yikes.
If this virus gets a hold in a place like The Villages, it’s going to be like a kid in a candy store on Christmas morning at Disney World.
It will.
Like shooting fish in a barrel interviewing college students who still thought Miami spring break was a good idea right now. Those are the exact kind of people I would've expected them to find
Think about this.
A school like UM attracts students that have worked very hard academically to be the top of their class. As well as being high achieving in other areas. Yet, I still knew several people during my years at UM that I would classify as some totally irresponsible morons.
Now think about the myriad of other colleges with kids who were less than stellar students in HS and not as mature or socially responsible as UM candidates tend to be.......And you get the picture of just how many dipshits are out there.
give me a break. its a flu. every flu kills people. i could give you a 100 instances of things that kill people and if i gave you updates every fucking day about who got sick or hurt or died it would drive you crazy. you do know the vast majority of people who get it just recover on their own, right?
If the majority of medical professionals, you know, the people who spend their whole lives on these kinds of things, agreed with you, then I’d say you have a point
But they don’t, so you don’t. Moron.
Also, new cases in the US have been close to doubling each day for the past several days. Do the “Take a penny and double it everyday for a month” experiment if you want to see how troubling that math is. Moron.
95% of the more recent cases are mild, meaning those patients, assuming they're reasonably healthy, just need to stay home and self-quarantine with reasonable self-treatment.
Not saying to not be careful (again, for the sake of those who are vulnerable don't be an idiot, folks) but also pointing out this isn't the Black Death or even the Spanish Flu.
Where are you getting these numbers?
What exactly constitutes “mild”?
You do realize that even 95% of a million is still 50,000 who wouldn’t be mild?
And no it’s not the Black Death or Spanish Flu......But you do realize one of the things that’s troubling about this is how quickly it mutates? There’s no guarantees this thing just eventually quietly fades away.
95% of the more recent cases are mild,
Are you using the worldometer numbers?
To be clear, "mild" is defined here as not life-threatening. It does not necessarily mean you are walking around feeling fine. You could be hospitalized with "mild" COVID-19.
95% of the more recent cases are mild, meaning those patients, assuming they're reasonably healthy, just need to stay home and self-quarantine with reasonable self-treatment.
If you mean that 95% of all carriers of this virus (tested or not) have mild symptoms, that might be true. But about 20% of all confirmed cases require hospitalization.
the morons are the chicken littles like you moron. so you want to go down this road, since of coarse you are so smart. my wife gets sick about 2 weeks ago, flu like symtoms. but seems a little more intense and since everyone is freaking out she goes to our doctor. is tested and she is positive for the corona. of coarse she freaks out. she asks well what should i do? the doctor says stay inside a couple days and treat yourself like you would any other flu. after 3 days she is fine. we have both been tested 2 days ago, both negative. but, but, but, i thought we were supposed to die. oh well.
You don't get it. If you want to be selfish and stupid I guess that's your choice. We all know most people don't die from it. THE POINT is that you don't continue to spread it to vulnerable populations where there currently is no cure, get them sick, and kill them. Some people can't be bothered to think about anyone but themselves
why do i picture you as one of those assholes that hoarded cart loads of toilet paper, for no reason and created a shortage where one didnt even exist.
No, I’m the kind of guy that started to work from home and is generally staying away from people so I don’t accidentally get anyone killed by a rapidly spreading disease
Learn how to use capital letters and the right form of the word “course” and maybe I’ll be inclined to take you even the least bit seriously.
In the meantime, I stand by my belief that you’re totally full of shit.
March 19th, 2020 at 10:00 PM ^
Either your full of shit, you don’t listen well, or your Provider is a terrible educator. It’s the vulnerable population that need to be protected from this virus. It’s well known that healthy younger people generally are not at risk.
You should try to educate yourself just a bit.
Hey Pistolwolf. There's apparently a very HUGE "fuck COVID" party nearby. You really should go, it's gonna be epic.
Might as well start the genetic improvement project here.
Edit: maybe we should all be listening to you. If your wife got it, and was tested positive "a couple of weeks ago" she was one of only about 150 confirmed positive US cases at that time. I mean for a deniers wife, on this board, to be one of those precious few....what are the odds of that?
watch out... the sky is falling. im not afraid to be in public. they closed our gym and every other place because people like you think they have all the answers. youe the one that will look stupid when this thing passes, which it will.
We sll agree it will pass, the only question is how many people will die.
I'll be sure to let your family know you were a total bad-ass to the end.
FWIW I actually kind of admire someone so dedicated to their position that they won't allow any combination of medical evidence or expert advice change their opinion on things and is willing to die to show everyone how tough they are.
what a fucking broken record. i dont agree with you and show facts to the contrary of what you want to believe so you not only label me a badass but are sure i am going to die just because i refuse to jump on your crazy train. i take reasonable precautions, like i do with everything in my life. you are no fucking expert, so stop acting like one. you are not as smart as you think you are.
I own a medical device company and get daily updates from both doctors and hospital officials from every major US academic teaching facility on the current situation and what they believe is coming and why.
What is your source of information?
You might be waiting for a while for a reply.
Been 3 hours now. My guess he realized "Hannity" wasn't going to cut it.
Maybe fictitious wife with her fictitious disease should weigh in.
Glad he married Kekua after Manti broke up so rudely ...
Come on MGrowOld, weren't you paying attention? His wife is his source! Everything's fine!
So your wife got it a few weeks ago? You mean she was one on the only 150 or so cases that had been diagnosed in the entire US at that time?
Gosh, what are the odds? I’m sure you wouldn’t lie about something like that.
What "facts" would those be, exactly?
It was weird. Oaklawn is the horse track & casino in Hot Springs. Its an hour from my home. It’s a big deal place for racing.
Anyways, no one was allowed to attend the races except owners, trainers, etc. The weird thing was that the casino was still open through the weekend. Full on open to the public. Monday morning of this week, they announced they were closing for two weeks. The are in the middle of a massive expansion to the gaming area, new hotel, and new convention center. I guess they had to make as much money as possible before closing up.
I took care of a guy today who flew from CA (Bay Area) to FL for a ‘few day visit’, two days ago. He laughed about breaking the shelter in place.
I got the words "attending a fucking horse" mixed up and thought to myself, "That's an interesting way to get COVID-19"
In all fairness, it is Arkansas
Tragic
We’ve got kids eating Tide Pods, so this whole follow the rules thing is going to be challenging.
