Harbaugh doesn’t expect any staff changes this offseason

Baumgardner just posted this on Twitter. You have got to be fucking kidding me. This program is a joke. Expect another repeat of beating bad teams and getting out shit pushed in by good teams.

Let’s just start in our division since Meyer left he’s now top 3 behind Dantoni and Franklin.. Let me tell you why both those coaches have done more with far less talent than we have had ..

Now we go West with Chryst , Frost, Ferentz, Brohm is on the comeup and I don’t like Fitzgerald but he has still done more with less than Michigan ..

Any 1 of those coaches with this Michigan team and you win 11 games or more

Franklin has a BIG championship and a rose bowl appearance I know the sentiment around here is that he sucks or whatever but he wins ...

Paul Chryst is at Wisconsin they hardly ever recruit a top 5 class in the BIG yet all they do is win

Kirk always always always has a good team with average at best players .. Give him this Michigan team and he would put up 11 wins

These are coaches that elevate their team despite the talent level.. If Harbaugh could elevate our team we would win every week so yea my mind isn’t changing those coaches are better than him

OSU stagnated under Tim Beck, they get Ryan Day

We keep our godawful staff and expect different results

I mean you wouldn't expect him to say anything else right after the game I suppose, but if there really are no changes then optimism for next year is non existent to me. Even if he fires Pep it would take bringing in a top flight OC and Harbaugh being hands off to matter

Harbaugh = Dunning-Kruger

and his staff is full of similar individuals

The kids would be better playing backyard ball with no coach - because I guarantee they know the plays called won’t work. They aren’t stupid.

But Harbaugh is only a symptom, not the disease this program has contracted. The general malaise and apathy running throughout Schembechler Hall needs to pulled out from the root. Unfortunately, those whose opinions count are also part of the problem.

I hope no one actually expects any staff changes, updates to the playbook, wins over any teams with a pulse, etc. harbaugh is trash and nothing will change.

Harbaugh is clueless. His offense belongs in a museum and he has never been able to utilize the best players of his team. And Don Brown swallows his tongue anytime they play a team with a pulse. Michigan's ceiling should be more than a team that's somewhere between #15-#25. He's not being paid $7 million to never beat OSU, never win the B1G, and go 1-3 in bowl games.

Lloyd Carr’s average ranking at Michigan was #12. Bo Schembechler’s was 8. Harbaugh’s depending on what the rankings finish at will be around 11 or 12. Harbaugh just signed the best recruiting class since the “rivals era”. Bo lost his first seven bowl games before winning his next two. Then he lost his next three. So he started 0-7 then went to 2-10. I think some people like to misremember Michigan’s history.

If true, this is quite disappointing. After the way we ended the season, I don't think anyone should be safe--make every single player earn their role and their playing time and, similarly, be willing to make staff changes as necessary. IMO, I find it hard to believe any neutral observer would think we don't need at least an offensive shake-up, if not a defensive one on an albeit smaller scale as well.

If this plays out to be true, give JH 1 more year and another 3-4 loss season, then fire his ass and hire an innovative, YOUNG HUNGRY coach and pay him $2 mil per year to rebuild the program.

Should be:

HC - Jim Harbaugh

OC - Kendall Briles

DC - Don Brown

RB - Mike Hart

WR -  Jedd Fisch

TE/ST - Sherrone Moore

OL - Ed Warinner

DL - Greg Mattison

LB/STC - Chris Partridge

DB - Mike Zordich

Get rid of Jay Harbaugh, Pep, and Al Washington. Heads need to roll.

It is very bad news to know Pep Hamilton will be back. smh.

Oh well, I'm already planning on having other things to do with my time next Fall, instead of getting my hopes up. Next years schedule is tougher than this years.

I’m pretty sure he said this before Drevno left last season. He’s not going to throw his assistant coaches under the bus in a post game presser.

It’s laughable people would think Harbaugh would get up there and announce coaching changes without speaking to anyone just a short while after a game.

Did anyone think that 4 years in we'd still be waiting for win #1 against TUOS? Or still be unable to block any team with a pulse?

Are we still blaming Clappy for the OL failures? Is it still Drevno's fault? Don't get me wrong, Drevno was absolute dead weight as a coach, but at some point JH needs to be responsible for this train wreck offense.

Likewise, Don Brown has been exposed. How many problems did he solve with aggression the last two games?  He is great at throttling poor offenses, but seems to wilt in the big games. 103 points the last couple games, and managed to make a 50% passer like the ND QB look like Deshaun Watson.

I have 0 excitement for next season if JH doesn't admit that there are problems and make some changes on this underperforming staff.

Jedd is coming as OC. Book it. And concur with others who have said Harbaugh isn’t going to lay out his plans for the coaching staff before the media after the bowl game.

Harbaugh won't make any changes.  But coaching staff members will "leave to pursue other opportunities."

 So, same thing ultimately.

There will be changes.

Changes coming just not the ones you probably want. Al Washington likely to move on to Ohio State who will fire Bill Davis after today’s Rose Bowl.
