That’s awesome. And by awesome I mean lame. If that quote is what Beilein actually said than that ref is so thin skinned and has never done a game before. So many of these coaches verbally undress and disparage the refs during the game. I wonder how this guy would handle a high school game where random 3rd row dad yells out “you’re TERRIBLE” every other time down the court.

Alford is the epitome of the “home run hire”. He was supposed to rescue UCLA and Indiana at the exact same time.

Espn’s write up about Michigan lists Austin Davis as one of the key bench players (insert Chris Rock gif) , but didn’t include Beilein’s use of the 1-3-1.

If I was a voter I would not let them back in the Top 25 even if they ran the rest of ACC. The shooting percentages were so rough.

Didn’t realize it was going to be 10, wow. College football is in an interesting place right now. Taking a look at the transfer portal this week is evidence of that. There’s more information about players transferring and the NCAA appears to be at a crossroads. Players immediately eligible for weaker reasons than previous years. Assistant Coach X left for another job or piece of garbage HC leaves for health reasons- I should be able to transfer and play.

Rant aside, interesting couple of months to see who moves on and where.

And this off season is going to be interesting. The hardest decisions are usually not easy. And there are several difficult questions to examine.

Timeline will be interesting.

The lack of excitement for a potential Florida matchup shows the desire for a change to the playoff system. No one would be complaining about this if it was a hypothetical first round game in a 8 or 16 team model because there’s something to play for the following week. Get rid of these conference championships.

11/24/2018 - 6:38pm Adam, this right here is the…

Adam, this right here is the briefest way to describe today:

“You play the game to keep your goals in front of you and Michigan did that for 11 games. Then, in The Game with the most optimistic forecast in almost two decades, the wheels came off in spectacular fashion.”

Nothing more really needs to be said. Unfortunately from a therapeutic lens we will all try.

11/18/2018 - 7:46am His size and strength are…

His size and strength are obvious from the moment his highlights begin. Not that we’re looking for it, but this is probably not a day 1 contributor. Needs a lot of work with his feet. The majority of the clips are Dawand down blocking. If you watch his feet he doesn’t step with his left consistently-false steps and steps in place. Just after the 2 minute mark he pulls left and he gets moving pretty good. A pretty nice prospect to try and work with.

It will be interesting to see what his recruitment looks like.

Tangerine IPA from Uinta. Prefer the regular Hopnosh.

11/13/2014 - 11:50am Not always, but usually in

Not always, but usually in sports when a coaching change happens the new coach coming in is dramatically different in X's and O's or personality.

Outgoing coach: defensive mind...bring in an offensive guy

Outgoing coach: players coach...bring in more of a disciplinarian

Replace the previous coaches weaknesses with someone new who thrives in that area. Rich Rod struggled with the programs voice and connected the current team with the past players and fanbase. His defenses were also bad. Bring in Hoke who was a change in those two key areas.

Not always the case, but it does happen frequently

10/28/2014 - 8:58pm Not sure why Nussmeier would

Not sure why Nussmeier would agree to stay so that he could share the OC duties. Will find his own job where its his and only his.

10/28/2014 - 8:51pm A new HC from the outside

A new HC from the outside rarely keeps coordinators. Position coaches yes. The chance of Mattison or Nussmeier sticking around is slim. Nussmeier has a higher chance I guess.

10/28/2014 - 8:48pm I would think highly unlikely

I would think highly unlikely that Seely or Roman follow. Both have interests in interviewing for NFL HC positions. Fangio, I'm not as sure about.
As far as affording them- Michigan can, it just depends if they will.

10/27/2014 - 9:55am Two scenarios that I think

Two scenarios that I think seem possible, not saying they will-

1>Nussmeier gets promoted.

2>Mark Stoops takes the job and hires an OC with full control to implement and direct the offensive side (Stitt???)

05/15/2014 - 9:40pm "Dog" in his game reminds me

"Dog" in his game reminds me of the description for Carlton Brundige. That didn't work out that well. I hope Davis has more to his game.

04/02/2014 - 1:40pm Real excited to see him after

Real excited to see him after an off season in the weight program. He looks like he will split between the 3/4 spot. Love the length.

In reading the article, OT Ian Silberman will be a graduate thus making him a college free agent who is able to be eligible upon arrival. He is not likely to leave the south, but our depth chart has to at least look interesting to him.

11/25/2013 - 9:52am possible commit this week

Hjalte Froholdt

Sterling Jenkins Jr

Those would be my two guesses.

Rather than disliking the screen call, be pissed that Funchess should have caught 1st down pass.

07/14/2011 - 9:34am

Definitely leaning to Fuller as the option. Would like to see a player of his versatility in the fold. Also like the security of knowing another qb is in the system, but have the freedom to slide his athleticism to another position down the road if the guys ahead of him remain healthy.
I know it would be alot of IF's, but I get cold sweats thinking about a qb depth issue again. We are fully aware of qb's getting dinged. 2007 cannot happen again- Threet/Sheridan were as tough to watch at times as our defense IMO.

07/13/2011 - 10:54pm

Let me tell you whats not going to happen....I am a coach in Ohio and will not be rocking a vest week 1 or any other week. Several members on the staff are tsio fans, but I can't imagine them doing this. For coaches to do this would require a staff to think that was as important as the actual game. Beyond ridiculous.

05/15/2011 - 8:57pm Has anyone seen video of

Has anyone seen video of Rodrigues? I have not. Just curious what his game looks like.

05/15/2011 - 8:40am I would be fine with

I would be fine with O'Connor. I like soome of the things he does and could see him being developed down the road. But  I actually like Austin Appleby more. Watch his film and he makes throws to every part of the field. He hits sideline routs at 15-20 yards from the pocket. Drops the ball into the seams and does a good job with crossing routes.

Some fans think that Gunner Kiel is getting ready to announce. I would be curious to see what would happen with Shane Morris if Kiel were to verbal. I don't expect it, but would Morris stay commited?

05/09/2011 - 10:14am Is Standifer going to be our

Is Standifer going to be our first non Michigan/Ohio commit? Paired with T. Richardson of course.

05/04/2011 - 9:35pm I am curious what people's

I am curious what people's thoughts are on comparing Dunn with other high school backs? As a NE ohio guy I think Chris Wells.  I see some simalarities, but I think Wells was quicker in and out of his cuts. Dunn's running style, while upright at times, is impressive. They both have good straight line speed and the ability to punish defensive backs. Dunn's competition is much stronger. He is a gifted young man and I hope he has a good visit this weekend and gets any answers to  his questions he may have.

Second question, can anyone remember the last time Michigan got a verbal commit to switch from columbus? I don't know the answer, but I love the possibility.
