He can sign with whoever he wants and announce it later. Our own Quinten Johnson is reportedly signed but wants to have a ceremony with the rest of his team in February.

Exactly. The Tennessee = Michigan narrative stopped making sense pretty much the moment Harbaugh was hired, but like many narratives, people still cling to it. Tennessee was 87th in S&P this year. Tennessee = Maryland, not Michigan.

Steve knows...nothing. I don’t believe he has any connections. Steve saw the tweet of Crouch and spun a story that increases clicks until Crouch commits, and allows him to say “I told you not to get too excited” when Crouch commits to Tennessee. Sam is the only guy with connections and true inside information.

I am actually a good friend of Steve’s. I’ve known him since elementary school and we’ve hung out as recently as a few weeks ago. I can confidently say that you are very misinformed. He definitely does have insider information and would not make a statement like this unless he was given reason to believe it. But, given as much as you seem to know him and his priorities, you may know more about him than me.
