The Game predictions.

24-13 Michigan. Michigan will win the time of possession battle. Ohio State will hit some big passing plays, but will fail to find rhythm on offense. 1st downs will come at a premium for Ohio State. Ben Mason, Shea Patterson and Peoples-Jones with TDs. This is Urban Meyers last time coaching at Ohio Stadium.

I expect them to throw haymakers early, like ND. If we don't allow them to play that type of game and UM can run the ball, it will be a controlled win.

My fear is that they will get first downs like Indiana and annoyingly sustain drives. However, I believe UM was less than 100% motivated against Indiana.

My rational self believes OSU should be favored in The Game until Michigan proves it can win on the road in a huge game for all of the marbles. We haven’t really done it since the late Lloyd Carr era regardless of the opponent, and OSU isn’t just any foe.

We lead in many of the statistical categories this year, which is why Vegas has us favored tomorrow, and why most “experts” give us the edge. But the two stats which give me pause are: 1) We are 91st (or thereabouts) in RZ efficiency on the year; 2) We are middle of the pack nationally in scoring on big plays. Those could be enough to tip the scales in favor of the Buckeyes; i.e., not that the Buckeyes can score on our defense, but that we can’t score enough on theirs.

Agree with some folks here:

First Half:

Team comes out a bit too hot, defense sells out to get early hits on Haskins and OSU get some yards. Offense has big plays from a well designed game olab, Tarik gets his long TD. M 17-14 OSU.

Second Half:

Run game continues clicking, grind fest begins. Karan gets a long one when OSU's d is done and can't keep up anymore, around mid third quarter. Shae takes another to the house from the red zone. Don Brown adjusts, OSU can't move the ball, Haskins and Tate both have turnovers. Winovich with a strip sack, picks up the fumble TAKES IT TO THE HOUSE. REVENGE TOUR BABY LETS GO.

M 38 - 14 OSU

I think we need to score 35 to win. OSU has averaged 34 points a game in the Harbaugh years and 30.5 against Brown. I expect this trend to continue despite our defensive successs this year. Can we score 35 tomorrow? I think we do if we avoid turnovers and big play/drive killing penalties.  A special teams TD might be the difference in either direction. 35-34 Michigan.

OSU scores with 3 seconds on the clock and has been gashing Ms defense all day.

They go for 2 to win but a sack strip return for 2

M wins 40-37

Heart says Michigan, head says OSU.

OSU 23

UM 21

OSU’s short/quick dink and dunk passing game will slow down UM’s aggressive defense, open up the run for the Nuts, and the occasional deep ball.

You're just as stupid as your name is a color. Sorry I've always despised that color since I grew hair on my knuckles. You think Michigan only gets 21 points? Purdue and Maryland easily get over 40 plus and you think Michigan is only going to get 21? Lay off the crack man. 44-26. Good Guys. Go Blue Baby!! Just Win!! All fucking day!!

Until we show we can stop a spread style offence I have to many doubts. Can see that back up QB come in and run all over. 27 - 14 osu. God I hope I am way off which I usually am.

31-14 Michigan. Quite frankly our offense holds the ball as long as it wants to. Keeping control of the ball is how we win this game. Sure, OSU can score, but only if they get the ball and they will, right after our score. Then, we hold it some more after they punt. They have a good enough offense to get through the defense a couple of times, but the rest of the game we have the ball. I think the rematch with Northwestern will be the tougher game.

Don Brown is gonna bring the heat all night. Get home and we’ll win. If we get stonewalled at the line we’re in serious trouble. Score 30+ and move the ball well I think we’ll win. Score under that and I don’t like our chances.

First half = Michigan finds success running the ball between tackles. Higdon breaks free for a long run. Patterson and Gentry win the day as backers get frozen on the run game RPOs. While OSU connects on some pass plays. Haskins puts one in the endzone with one field goal. Michigan runs for one  and throws for one and gets 3.

Second half. Just as Michigan has done 6 times this season, holds Ohio State to 7 points second half while punishing the OSU D line in the 4th. Patterson runs for more than 60 yards and throws to over 300. Higdon for 200. Michigan 31 Luckeyes not so much with 17. Quite semi emty shoe in the end.

31-17 Michigan, pulling away in the second half. There will be MANY shots of Urban bending over, wincing, holding his head. It'll be the story of the day on Sunday.

I look for "Here we go again" plays to judge whether or not we pull it out. We have had a habit of jumping on OSU and that's when I start to see "here we go again" plays like questionable pass interference calls, questionable spots, no flags on holding penalties, fumbles on the goal-line or silly things like JOK tripping over his feet on 3rd and short, WS chucking pick-6's on 1st down deep in our own territory, JM dropping a gift INT, Curtis Samuel turning a 10-yard loss into a 10-yard gain or JT Barrett running for a 1st down on 3rd and 22 - if I start seeing things like that pop up but obviously with different names, I will begin to worry. If we can avoid the "here we go again" screw-ups, I think we are the better overall team. 27-20 good guys if we don't see them but 30-27 bad guys if we do.

Living in Ohio and being married to an OSU grad is difficult every year at this time especially when we don’t win. It’s our time we have waited for this and we are more than capable of keeping our dream alive. 38-24 Michigan and finally I can smile after this game.

How does a team that lost big to Purdue, almost lost to Maryland, barely beat penn state, had a hard time with MSU’s defense have any chance against the most hard hitting players we’ve seen in years? I was at the penn state game and couldn’t believe how good they are everywhere.

31-21 Michigan

31-28 wolverines. Going to be a tight game throughout, both sides are loaded with talent. Should be fun, I see Michigan scoring in the 4th to go ahead and then coming up with a big defense stop to seal it. Go blue.
