I love this site but the blind admiration of borderline funny concepts (BPONE, Rutger, Tacopants, for example) by most of the readers drives me crazy. They are the mgoblog version of Gallagher’s sledge-o-magic. It’s a quirk of the site that annoys the hell out of me.

I agree, I personally think referring to them as "Rutger" is a clear slap in the face to legendary actor Rutger Hauer. A person of his professional caliber should not be associated with the dumpster fire located in Piscataway in any form.
Hopefully, rutger (NTR) will be contracted from the Big Ten soon and the memory of their existence in our conference will disappear, "like tears in the rain."
