I didn’t get it at first, but a simple google of rutger tells you pretty much everything you need to know. One thing I’ve learned in my short year on mgoblog is you don’t ask about mgoblog inside jokes! You’re better off staying quiet and researching things yourself without asking!

I don't think you'll find a single person with hardcore hate or malice for the Rutger. It's really a light hearted joke man. In fairness to the fighting rutger of new jersey I've been to a game there and found their fans to be pleasant.
I heart the fighting rutger. Unless they beat UM or get good then screw them.

For me it's not about Rutgers itself, it's that Rutgers made zero sense as a Big Ten addition geographically, academically, or athletically. Some people, myself included, are just still salty they're in the Big Ten.

Well it is rutgizz week and my annual forgettable salvo on this greasy board of unslaked entitlement - but this time I humbly approach will tail between legs given 2018s results. After winning the inaugural and most important game of the um/ru rivalry, things have sort of gone downhill on the banks of the raritan.
So picture the waning months of the Brady joke tenure to understand how we loathe this coach ..see this https://rutgers.forums.rivals.com/threads/chris-ash-meme-contest.152235/ but in addition to being a lame duck loser, ash and hoke share another similarity- they're from midwestern states. Hoke from sad Ohio, ash from corn loaded America poisoning loser state iowa. Ash is such a loser he wasn't even mad about losing 78-0!! Imagine that mentality as a head coach let alone human being- he was a major mistake that has set back ru"s destiny of dominance at least 5 more years. Sadly, this pathetic mindset seems all too prevalent from midwesterners especially losers in ann arbor jealous to derangement level of winners like our great president trump and the ny yankees. Let's be honest stone cold Harbaugh didn't become the man he was until his time in California high schools..and the Michigan identity..defense..is a bunch of dem Florida boyz.
So we learned that chris ash wasn't a fit because he is a typical midwestern loser that doesn't seem to mind being pounded savagely, just like many of you in here. The reverse also holds.. we dont see any of those ballyhooed nj recruits on the team anymore..what a shock when leaving thriving NJ and descend into a hopeless landscape and culture of obesity jealousy and ignorance. So this will be ashs final season. And listen.. certainly many of you have moved close to Nj in a bordering state/ city trying to leave behind your soulless desolation ..and even found success in this faraway land analyzing or litigating balance sheets of great companies Michigan graduates never build. Congrats ..seriously. but def a gentle reminder.. there is no place for you in nj. So when your aging decrepit wife decides in her 40s she needs to anchor you with children to a lifetime of misery, do it on long island thx.
Conclusion/prediction: I think many of us were expecting to possibly compete for big 10 title despite true freshman qb, but were eliminated in a close loss at Wisconsin. Now the team can relax and play loose, add in a classic trap game scenario, I like rutgz 22-12. Have a great weekend and enjoy the sour atmosphere if you made the trip.

Hey, just a public service announcement from a friendly Rutgers alumnus. It is not ok to disrespect veterans of the United States military, and you have many people participating in this mass show of dishonor.
Every time you disparage the name Rutgers, you are disrespecting a United States veteran. Henry Rutgers was a Revolutionary War hero.
