I believe that every network (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, FOX, FS1, BTN) has the same number and same length of commercials--4 commercial breaks a quarter of about 2.5 minutes each.  The perception that the FOX commercials are longer or more frequent is simply incorrect.

What is different is that FOX seems to be a little more willing to bunch the commercials closer together--the infamous "touchdown-commercial-kickoff-commercial" type sequence.

So PSU will likely be a night game, although that's unconfirmed until October 22.

Either Indiana or Rutgers must by rule be on BTN, and I would guess that it's Rutgers.  Which leaves Indiana for something like FS1 or ESPN or noon ABC.

OSU will be noon on FOX.

They're probably going to wait to make that announcement. If Michigan is fortunate enough to win the next two games, then PSU is almost certainly going to be a night game. Will be a top-10 matchup, the revenge factor from last year, and the storyline of "if Michigan wins, they'll likely once again be heading into Columbus at 10-1 with everything on the line."

I doubt we hear anything before the Wisconsin game. In fact, probably won't hear anything until the Monday after the MSU game, considering we have the bye week right after MSU.

This pleases me. I love noon starts, and to not have to play in the dump at night is a huge bonus. Now we just need to hope there isn't some crazy monsoon or blizzard, and I don't see that MSU secondary doing anything to stop Shea and Co.

Oh hell yes. The only time I prefer noon games is for road games in really hostile environments. At MSU clearly fits that category.

I don't like noon games, but noon at east lansing is best for Michigan in my opinion.  I also fully expect MSU to play their very best game of the year that day.  This won't be easy by any means.

I like that this is a noon kick but I’m still (perhaps) irrationally fearful of this game. Obviously that opinion could change if we handle Wisconsin and they get hammered by PSU, but I don’t think they are any where near as bad as 2016 and they still gave us somewhat of a game that year. They looked fairly awful last year and beat us at home. Yes I know, rain..blah blah. In my opinion that’s a dumb argument because we were the better running team so that should have helped us. We got down 14-3 when it was dry. We need to come out and jump on them early like we did 2 years ago. And this year I hope we keep the foot on the gas to prevent any kind of hope. I fully expect this to be their best performance of the year and it will take our best to beat them.

If you mean "come out and jump on them like we did two years" as in "give up a 14 play, 8 minute drive resulting in a standing up LJ Scott TD" than I have to disagree.  I hope that is the exact opposite of how we start.

And no, it is not irrational to still be concerned about the MSU game.  As we saw firsthand, Northwestern is not that bad and got some fortuitous calls on Saturday that had a significant impact on that game.  No way is the MSU game one that I mentally chalk up into the W column.

I know the past is not full of sunshine when it comes to MSU but it feels a little different this season in regards to the two teams and state of the programs. I think it would be a huge knock against Harbaugh to lose this one. I think they'll be ready and we just may see UM's best performance of the season.

Yeah, sitting in the stands and watching Sparty's opening drive unfold was decidedly not the most fun I've ever had.

I've been kicking around the idea of going this year (first trip to EL since the Plaxico game) and love the noon kickoff. I'm guessing a noon kickoff is better as a visiting fan than a 3:30pm or (shudder) night game.

Thank you to Sparty for sucking so we can have a noon kickoff. Much appreciated! I hate late starts.

I have become my parents, I prefer early games. No waiting around. Actually I liked early games in college. No waiting. So, I guess the no waiting thing is actually a thing for me. Oh well, never mind.

I just wanna a W. Considering recent history don’t care how we get the win. We need to come out passing the next 2 weeks. Shea better have over 250 in each game. We should win both games by 10 points I think. I’m expecting a 28-17 game for both msu and Wisconsin
