EDIT: MSU Now Confirmed As 12:00 PM Kickoff On Fox
The Michigan State game on October 20 got pushed to the six-day window, so unfortunately we won't know the game time until then.

Love that the game is at noon.
Hate that the game is on Fox.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:17 PM ^
Why?!
Gus and Klatt potentially is awesome...Griese and Levy aren't bad I guess but I think Fox has done well. Even Brando and Spencer do a decent job.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:22 PM ^
Brando is annoying and doesn't know the players' names.
Brady Quinn is better IMO.

COMMERCIALS
October 8th, 2018 at 12:44 PM ^
I believe that every network (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, FOX, FS1, BTN) has the same number and same length of commercials--4 commercial breaks a quarter of about 2.5 minutes each. The perception that the FOX commercials are longer or more frequent is simply incorrect.
What is different is that FOX seems to be a little more willing to bunch the commercials closer together--the infamous "touchdown-commercial-kickoff-commercial" type sequence.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:48 PM ^
Because Fox loves to make the game 4+ hours due to commercials. Nothing like the ol touchdown-commercial-kickoff-commercial-3&out-commercial
October 8th, 2018 at 11:50 AM ^
Well, being 3-2 and sludgefarting your way to two bad losses on your resume will do that to you.
October 8th, 2018 at 11:55 AM ^
This pleases me.
October 8th, 2018 at 11:58 AM ^
I love it when a plan comes together.

Fake News
October 8th, 2018 at 11:59 AM ^
Good. Plenty of daylight then for Sparty to gather couches
October 8th, 2018 at 12:04 PM ^
So PSU will likely be a night game, although that's unconfirmed until October 22.
Either Indiana or Rutgers must by rule be on BTN, and I would guess that it's Rutgers. Which leaves Indiana for something like FS1 or ESPN or noon ABC.
OSU will be noon on FOX.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:31 PM ^
They're probably going to wait to make that announcement. If Michigan is fortunate enough to win the next two games, then PSU is almost certainly going to be a night game. Will be a top-10 matchup, the revenge factor from last year, and the storyline of "if Michigan wins, they'll likely once again be heading into Columbus at 10-1 with everything on the line."
I doubt we hear anything before the Wisconsin game. In fact, probably won't hear anything until the Monday after the MSU game, considering we have the bye week right after MSU.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:23 PM ^
Good catch on the bye week allowing the networks to wait until the Monday after the MSU game before they would have to make a designation for a PSU night game.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:03 PM ^
How many tens of people will tune in to watch the Rutger game?
October 11th, 2018 at 6:35 AM ^
I will - can't miss a rivalry game!
October 8th, 2018 at 12:08 PM ^
Good. I'd rather this be a noon kick in East Lansing as compared to any other time slot. Now that said, we'd better come out of the gates charging.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:10 PM ^
This pleases me. I love noon starts, and to not have to play in the dump at night is a huge bonus. Now we just need to hope there isn't some crazy monsoon or blizzard, and I don't see that MSU secondary doing anything to stop Shea and Co.
Go BLUE!!!
October 8th, 2018 at 1:37 PM ^
Heh.
A garbage monsoon?
October 8th, 2018 at 12:15 PM ^
Damn it. I have to work that day until 3. I was counting on this being a later game, but Sparty gonna spart.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:18 PM ^
We'll miss out on seeing the night glow of all the couch burning, but I like the Noon time much better.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:23 PM ^
Oh hell yes. The only time I prefer noon games is for road games in really hostile environments. At MSU clearly fits that category.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:24 PM ^
I don't like noon games, but noon at east lansing is best for Michigan in my opinion. I also fully expect MSU to play their very best game of the year that day. This won't be easy by any means.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:03 PM ^
For sure. They’re gonna get hamblasted at PSU this weekend, and honestly, would not put it past them to be doing some Michigan prep this week
October 8th, 2018 at 12:29 PM ^
I like that this is a noon kick but I’m still (perhaps) irrationally fearful of this game. Obviously that opinion could change if we handle Wisconsin and they get hammered by PSU, but I don’t think they are any where near as bad as 2016 and they still gave us somewhat of a game that year. They looked fairly awful last year and beat us at home. Yes I know, rain..blah blah. In my opinion that’s a dumb argument because we were the better running team so that should have helped us. We got down 14-3 when it was dry. We need to come out and jump on them early like we did 2 years ago. And this year I hope we keep the foot on the gas to prevent any kind of hope. I fully expect this to be their best performance of the year and it will take our best to beat them.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:52 PM ^
If you mean "come out and jump on them like we did two years" as in "give up a 14 play, 8 minute drive resulting in a standing up LJ Scott TD" than I have to disagree. I hope that is the exact opposite of how we start.
And no, it is not irrational to still be concerned about the MSU game. As we saw firsthand, Northwestern is not that bad and got some fortuitous calls on Saturday that had a significant impact on that game. No way is the MSU game one that I mentally chalk up into the W column.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:20 PM ^
TK is afraid of Sparty and one of the biggest Sparty apologists on here. He may actually be a MSU fan too.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:23 PM ^
Well I'm not "afraid of Sparty" but can't help but notice that we don't play our best football against them.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:35 PM ^
I know the past is not full of sunshine when it comes to MSU but it feels a little different this season in regards to the two teams and state of the programs. I think it would be a huge knock against Harbaugh to lose this one. I think they'll be ready and we just may see UM's best performance of the season.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:28 PM ^

Yeah, sitting in the stands and watching Sparty's opening drive unfold was decidedly not the most fun I've ever had.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:34 PM ^
I mean be ahead 27-10 at half and not playing from behind like last year.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:31 PM ^
They gave us a quarter in 2016, acted like they just won the NC after 15 minutes. They shit their pants the rest of game.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:30 PM ^
Great, it'll be nice to watch commercials all day with a little bit of football mixed in.
October 8th, 2018 at 12:46 PM ^
I've been kicking around the idea of going this year (first trip to EL since the Plaxico game) and love the noon kickoff. I'm guessing a noon kickoff is better as a visiting fan than a 3:30pm or (shudder) night game.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:18 PM ^
Beat Wisconsin!!
....and also MSU.
October 8th, 2018 at 1:32 PM ^
Beat Everyone! Let’s not discriminate
October 8th, 2018 at 2:12 PM ^
Stupid fucking FOX. Might start at noon, but that doesn't mean it won't be a night game. Game may be 8 1/2 hours long.
October 8th, 2018 at 2:18 PM ^
Thank you to Sparty for sucking so we can have a noon kickoff. Much appreciated! I hate late starts.
October 8th, 2018 at 2:27 PM ^
I have become my parents, I prefer early games. No waiting around. Actually I liked early games in college. No waiting. So, I guess the no waiting thing is actually a thing for me. Oh well, never mind.
October 8th, 2018 at 3:59 PM ^
I just wanna a W. Considering recent history don’t care how we get the win. We need to come out passing the next 2 weeks. Shea better have over 250 in each game. We should win both games by 10 points I think. I’m expecting a 28-17 game for both msu and Wisconsin
October 8th, 2018 at 4:22 PM ^
Anyone else notice that the OSU-Purdue game is the night game on ABC? Seriously no better game...?
