I'll do two Founder's beers Tonight. First will be Better Half and my 2nd will Backwoods Bastard. I'm still thinking about Murderwolf. I did not know how long he's been with us, since the 40s. Our defense is as fierce as Murderwolf!

At work for a couple more hours..then home to, I'm not exactly sure what beer to crack. Either way, a 10.3 lb pork butt is going on the smoker for a nice big bottle (beer) share tomorrow. Will likely be opening a couple things through the night as I check on the pork. Pastry stouts, football and swine tomorrow. Can. Not. Wait.

I refuse to believe anyone actually likes the taste of whisky by itself.
That said, I am drinking cold (warm is gross) apple cider with caramel vodka. It’s incredible.

When I was a sophomore in college I had decided that if I was going to grow up and be a man, I had better start liking whisky. Well, someone left a handle of garbage whisky in my room, so I thought that if I could choke down that handle of whisky with no chaser, that I would become acclimated. The next two weeks were spent drinking that swill and now anything other than the taste of that puts a big ole smile on my face.

oldest son's team won big, and are playoff eligible. happy for him/them.

Drinking The Oracle from Bells and watching London Has Fallen. Take the boats out for winter storage tomorrow and likely the piers next weekend. Summer is gone but football makes it ok.

Crazy thought here....it's not the alcohol, it's what you do. Sucks that alcohol makes (many) people make bad decisions but you're right; if you can't put your big boy pants on whilst consuming EtOH and not make terrible decisions, quit.

Ohhh UCLA fans, what you don't know can hurt you. Nothing against the kid but I can't imagine we'll ever see pre-Iowa Speight again. He is not a QB I would be calling for.
